Fine! It was the Grande de Cent Ans which lasted for something like 115 or 116 years.

Germany will Blitzkrieg the english down 2 goals in the first 10mins of the game, and after that go back to defend

Re: World Cup!
Funnily enough, they were talking about firing the manager if England didn't get in.
People were booing at their team because of the last game.
England have only won one game and now all is forgotten.
lawlz.

Sorry, I haven't been watching lately.. David James as in... the Liverpool David James? Wasn't he an "eternal" talent that never evolved past that phase?Maurudin wrote:David James is in nets now

As with many players, but if you have watched the Premiership the last few seasons and especially this season David James has been absolutely outstanding.
And Jakins do you perhaps write for the Scotsman? I read it every morning unfortunately and you sound exactly like the bitter journalists who write in it. Sure England have won one game but have they lost either? Who exactly has been amazing at this world cup so far? Brazil with their 2-1 win over North Korea? Italy drawing with the semi-professionals New Zealand? Or the European champs loss to the Swiss?
They lacked drive and passion in the Algeria game and credit to the Algerians as they had a solid defense and people have a right to boo when theyve paid god knows how much money to get down to South Africa and buy a ticket as well as everything else. But its alrite for the Scots to go to a world cup and lose as nobody has any expectations of them, people rate England for a reason. The absolute mauling of Croatia in their country, where they hadn't lost for 35 games or so springs to mind.
The current hype is a bit much aye considering its only the last 16 but at least we are there and got through the pressure of fighting three resilient sides in the group stages. At least they didnt buckle under the pressure like the Scots did against the Norwegians 'lawlz'.
EDIT: Every manager is criticised, Dunga will probably get sacked if they are knocked out early. One manager quit either today or yesterday. More are in line. Pressure of the job and as usual its the media making a total shit storm of the situation. I back Capello as to be honest I doubt there is really another manager out there that can do much better.

I couldn't write for peanuts.
I'm just Scottish.
PS. We don't give a flying crap about getting into a World Cup or not. We have our own leagues.

Everybody's born to compete as he chooses
But how can someone win if winning means that someone loses.
