Requiring a Rich Alliance Mage!

My guild will be having a small event with the Sixty Thieves where we'll be breaking into the house of a powerful Mage and nicking shit. We'll be using Karazhan as the location of the house so we have a big house to run riot in, and also some battles with whatever magical inventions the house is guarded by. I'll be adding my own traps via raid warnings and the like.

The Sixty and my merry band wouldn't stoop to robbing just a boring old house. With the possibility of being torn apart by monstrosities comes thrill and danger! We like this.

I'd like this 'house' to belong to a fellow roleplayer! It won't be Karazhan ICly, but the layout and stuff suited my needs. Would any of you fellows (or ladies) like to have one of your estates broken into by our lovely bunch? With my set-up, I'll make sure our guys have a very hard time getting around the place, and if we become very unlucky, we may even have to make a break for it due to injuries we may have sustained, without gaining much loot.

You can run around Stormwind screaming that you've been robbed, or swagger on through saying you had a good laugh at some smelly Hordelings getting beaten up by your inventions. And if you'd like something important to be taken, we can do so! Then you can set up your own event at a later date to retrieve it from whoever we've sold it too. Or even try and rob us back!

In short, I'd like it if our event created some RP for both sides. The actual IC break-in will take place on Sunday the 12th of February, so if you're interested, post in here or catch me on Morinth! (Horde)

Thank you! I was afraid I'd be shot down! I've never made an event quite like this, so I'm praying that it will be successful for my own side, never mind generating a little RP for the Alliance.

I'd totally go for this, but sadly Dru does not have a wizard's tower... yet (she's working on it). So, Braiden sounds like the perfect target instead!

If you have a way to get a bunch of horde characters into Elwynn forest, avoiding peasants in the area reporting the passage to the guards then past the rangers on the grounds, past the magic wards on the tower, past the annoying servants, guards, Axios etc. then sure thing

I don't quite know what you have in mind either considering the description, Braiden doesn't have inventions/arcane constructs/demons/whatevs around... he mainly has his servants, soldiers and mages around.

This is -so- much something i would LOVE to do, but i lack the character for it.

I can see this with my souls eyes. A large raid coming, fighting their way first to the tower, then up the ramp, up the chairs. encounter alot elementals summoned by the mages, spells rained from upstairs and on some floor a raid boss (Axios) with adds and all
I have dreamed myself about creating Ic emote raids, boss having their abilities and all that. if you need me planing or anything i would be more than happy to help.

My mage doesn't have any real estate, he time shares with mages in Dalaran. However, if you really need someone, I could always conjure up a rich grandfather "leave everything in my will" storyline.

Either myself or Delidah can always brush off the notorious pig-of-a-wizard that is Theodore Wellsworth.

He's both a total bigot and loaded like a king - Not much of a fully realized character though. More like a joke-character or NPC.

Oh, the demons and stuff are just bonuses for RP loot! And there certainly won't be a giant dragon etc, as we fight them. They'd obviously be guards or high up mages, trying to thwart us.

As for the getting into Elwynn, our Pro-Hordies are generally sneaky bastards. The rest are 'travelling merchants'. Goblins can get away with anything by flashing the old Steamwheedle Cartel badges. Best fake ID's in Azeroth.

It's nothing too serious for Alliance, just a chance to get some RP out of our thievery. Rumours to spread, lies to tell... Revenge to get if you're that sort. Something to wind the guards up over.

You could always try Orthur's Farm...Karazhan could be some of the inner corridors, full of nasty shit. Don't expect to come out without some sort of bloodloss though.

That's exactly what I want. Something with plenty of traps. I'll be highlighting them through raid warnings, and some items they might want to loot may be trapped or beneficial to whoever is brave enough to touch it, etc.

Who knows what lurks beneath the Barn...Dun dun dun. A door that requires blood sacrifice, the blood of whom, slowly continues to drain as they enter further...

This is true, they are. Another time perhaps.

I'm not quite sure, I mean the RP possibilitys on our end is kinda few as all we can do to react is to act after something actually happens and reactions would involve traveling to horde territory which should be quite unsafe. There's also the issue that Braiden and other played characters are present in or around the estate at most times IC. I'll take some time to consider if this works and if it could work out in a way that doesn't only lead to a night of wining at the minister of defense for letting horde into Elwynn...

I don't want it to be any trouble for your end. xD Maybe just make up a fictional mage who lives wherever, and have the rumours thrown about. Paranoia and such, tightening security on your own estates and so on.
