Interest Check - RP-PvP Campaign, somewhere on Azeroth?
Hello all. It's been a couple of weeks since the incursion of the Ninth into Arathi Highlands and the Horde's response upon this threat. We still have a couple of months to Legion, and at least one month to Pre-Patch.
Would the people roleplaying on the servers have interest for one larger RP-PvP Conflict before Pre-Patch hits, somewhere around Azeroth.
Do let us know your thoughts and throw around your own suggestions of places, locations and reasons.

Would be nice with one centered around Kalimdor as it's not used too much as a place, at least from a general Alliance point of view(to my knowledge).
A few places I'd like to go to would be:
-Darkshore
-The barrens(would be hard in terms of reasons however)
-Feralas
-Stonetalon mountains

Could we have it like a few weeks long campaign like the Jade Fist? with us all securing sections of the map and making plans that take days of preparation. The Frostwyrm attack on Honeydew Village is still in my mind.
In terms of where, I too favour Kalimdor. But, logistically speaking, I'd go for Desolace. It's large, quiet, largely flat. But most importantly, it has the Alliance at one end (Nijel's point), and the Horde at the other (Shadowprey Village). Add to this a neutral faction slap bang in the middle of it all who could lean either way depending on how each faction interacts with them.
As for the reasons why we'd be fighting in Desolace, I'm sure we can think of something suitable.

I'd love to get involved, both as a smith (fixing up kit) and also as a [bad] PvPer.

Our trading Clan would be interested. It could be fun to run supply caravans between forces, maybe open up some ambush and tactical PvP for the opposing side? And maybe they will provide a similar opportunity? Count us interested

I would be interested in taking part in smaller skirmishes at least. My hardware can't handle too many pvpers on the screen at any given time.
Then again, got two weeks off coming up, so depending on the time, I might not be there at all.

I see no reason to not have a campaign somewhere. The place, well I do't have any specific in mind, any is good atm.

That makes it Last Chancers, Ashal Anore, Fenodyree as himself, Clan Coth and Ninth Company who would be interested.
That makes it Red Reach and Ashal Anore for the Horde,
and Last Chancers, Clan Coth and Ninth Company for the Alliance.
I am sure more will involve themselves once we get the ball rolling properly. I'll get in touch with you all, since creating Campaigns is rarely an one-man effort.

Darkshore works for CoKM (Dwarf interests in form of archaeology).
Barrens works for CoKM (Dwarf interests in form of bases AND archaeology)
Stonetalon Mountains works for CoKM (Dwarf interests in form of bases).
We don't need any real reason aside from defending our interests. Anywhere where there be dwarves, we can go.

To be honest Cid, there would be a lot of interesting archaeological digs to be had in Feralas aswell considering the history of it. Less about titan stuff though and more highborne culture to be had. Barrens has always been good for battlefield stuff though.

It doesn't have to be limited to exactly one zone I'd say.

Don't recall Feralas having any dwarves in it, unlike Darkshore (thus the dwarf interest). But you are right, Feralas is an interesting spot for archaeology as well, with all those Nelf ruins. Is there one dwarf in the area though?

Not a single Dwarf in Feralas, no. I checked through the whole NPC list, and at most there are a couple of "Resort Guests" and maybe 1x on the Developer Isle up north of Dire Maul, but otherwise no.

Luckily your dwarfs can be interested even if the NPCs were not!

I have no idea if the House would be interested in joining. (Have not discussed it yet) But, as myself, I would be very interested in it. But, time will tell.

Re: Interest Check - RP-PvP Campaign, somewhere on Azeroth?
The RP-PvP Campaigns are a long-standing "tradition" at least on the Defias Brotherhood server. Usually, guilds stay at the area instead of simply treating it as one-evening event, and it's that Random RP that happen when so many guilds are gathered in one location what makes the Campaigns so enjoyable. The RP, before, during, after the PvP.
By my experience, the Campaigns can create some of the best roleplaying to be had, hence I do recommend you (and everyone else) to get involved. The more the merrier.

There is a Dwarf, actually. His name is Gregan Brewspewer, and he's camping out in the northern wilds. Brann Bronzebeard also visited the area in Lands of Mystery.
I do like the idea of using Desolace however, as Feralas (however much I love that zone) is a little too contrived to be staging large-scale battles in. It's better suited for expeditionary events and long-winded storylines, in my opinion.

Where there's a Dwarf, there's a way.
On a more serious note, I think something can be organized in terms of dwarven support in either of the areas. If it can help us get outside the cities, I'm all for it.
