Meeting summary
A general debrief was undertaken regarding the Hinterlands Expedition and its success, with specific thanks to the core members of the current team. Conversation led on to where the team intends to set up next, suggestions were Stranglethorn Vale, Hillsbrad Foothills, Feralas, Dragonblight and Pandaria, the choices were narrowed down to what remains within budget, and presents less risks to a smaller less armed group. The choices to be voted on were Stranglethorn Vale and Feralas, with a majority voting for Feralas, and a decision was made for Stranglethorn to be the following expedition without need for further vote.
Equipment to acquire
Following brief conversation it was decided that our current standard equipment is still more than enough for general use. However it was raised that the following equipment would be desirable;
Anti-venom kits
Machete/general blades (to deal with entangling wildlife and such)
A handful more starter kits for new explorers
Herblore guide book
Agenda(To be presented to the Senate)
The team request permission and funding to further expand the academic interest of the Alliances scholarship, pertaining to medical, botanical and cartographic purposes.

I hope this won't be much of a bother that looks like I stuff it into people's face... heh heh
But I wrote this to clear up the muddy stuff that happened to Svaein during the explorers event and I thought the ones involved may be interested at least slightly.

- After receiving the briefing, Svaein departed from her group.
The wind howled around her head, the shuffling of the gryphon's feathers as his wings flapped through the air was periodically landing upon her ears. The evening breeze felt refreshing and that more impacting when combined with the speed which they moved at.
Her task appeared to be an easy one, to scout around the ruins for possible threats from the aerial view. The whole situation felt safe, for what could reach a rider in the sky?
Upon passing above the mossy, old, stone walls the ruins lay open before her. From such height, Svaein was unable to see much more than the temples and mountains which surrounded them roughly. She pulled by the gryph's bridle leftwards, the animal swooped majestically to the side and began to descend in wide circles slowly. The trees became clearer, from small, dark green blots to grand, branched pines. The wine overgrown temples were precisely positioned around a small pond in their midst. By the pond lay altair, upon it several small, bouncing flames could be seen. The movements were hard to notice at first, the circular movement of gryphon was not facilitating her sight well, she decided to descend to the point of clear sight.
The movements... as subtle as they appeared to be, increasingly resembled hunched figures as she closed in upon them.
"Two... three... ten... forty..?" she estimated quietly.
Yet Svaein couldn't tell exactly, for they were clearly more plentyful. Upon reaching low enough altitude, out of range of ordinary arms, she brought the gryphon to a halt, narrowing her eyes towards the figures in attempt to unveil their nature as the animal floated more or less in place. The curved tusks, warpaints, the thickly grown hair more resembling a mane... The hunched beings were apparently too occupied to spot her.
"Trolls..." she spat for herself.
With her task fulfilled, she pulled by the bridle once more. The animal made an attempt to turn and ascend upwards... yet it couldn't... The air around them thickened, became hard to breathe. She jerked by the bridle repeatedly in attempt to force the animal into action, yet the gryphon merely shrieked in protest as every single of it's following efforts to break free from the hungering air failed.
She gasped for air, looking around in confusion and haste in attempt to find a way out of the threat... but with no avail. The ever thickening air pulled the rider and it's animal down, every tentative of escape thrashed to submission.
The ground drew closer rapidly. She could see a pair of trolls surrounding an exquisite figure, standing below her before her sight began to blur. While gasping for air desperately, the gryph let out a scream of anguish as it's neck twisted unnaturally.
The slam of powerless mass of flesh and feathers against the dirt made a loud thump, kicking cloud of dust towards the sky. The gryph lay dead, the rider aside it helpless. Svaein breathed rapidly as the air around her cleared and calmed, but before she could regain her senses the trolls were upon her... dragging her emotionlessly towards the northern temple, up it's long and rough staircase.
By each passing step, her sight sharpened, her hearing cleared, her anger grew... when at last she motioned her fingers on her free hand into signs. Her hand behind the trolls neck began to glow, from dym ligh to violent blaze.
The troll let her weight shift towards the other as he yanked aside from the burning light. Her hand swung in wide arc towards the other captor, the impact catching him at his skull. His body collapsed downwards the staircase with a deep, searing wound upon his head.
Pulling her sword out of it's scabbard on her back, she turned at the leading figure hastly.
The overdecorated troll in rich, scarlet robes merely turned his gaze backwards across his shoulder and raised his brow along with dozen golden rings pierced through it. He scoffed at the sight of the girl standing above his bested warriors and began to turn himself around to face her.
As he hunched forward and raised his arm, Svaein felt threat arise... in desperate attempt to cast yet another sign to protect herself, the shadows surrounded her. Unbearable pain pulled her fingers and limbs into agonizing convulsion. She let out a loud scream, dropping to her knees as the troll laughed in delight at his success.
She could see them... the shadows ran... they ran up and down the staircase... they flewn around the ruins.. their whispers as loud as screams, unyelding, unfaltering... Her eyes ran from shadow to shadow in fear before landing upon the tusked warrior leaning above her.
A swing, a thump... and then darkness...
The period of continuance in this state was hard to guess.
The numbness was broken by the whispered screams... the cold of the stone floor below her drew away as her body was lifted by pair of strong hands. Her eyes heavy, opened barely to afford her a sight of her surroundings... A muscular feminie feline held the troll leader against the temple floor firmly. Turning her head to the other side, she could see the troll warrior lay on his back, thick coat of frost covering his stiff face. Her sight blurred, the shadows ran around her aimlessly... their screams unfaltering. She could barely hear the words of a bearded man, carrying her downwards, down the side of the temple.
"My lady, are you alright? Can you hear me?"
The words sounded as if spoken through muddy water... yet the whispered screams were crystal clear...
She layed limp upon his arms as he carried her. The feline, the druid offered Svaein water, along with soothing leaf for her pain. After she gulped the water in lusty haste, the druid slid the leaf into her mouth.
In due time, they reached the camp and laid her by the fire. Most of the cheerful company seemed not to pay much heed to her quiet babbling, most but the druid and a gnome. The venerable bearded gnome in white robes inquired about the shadows further while the druid considered their cause to be the high fevers embracing Svaein in past hours.
The shadows were consistently active... they wouldn't stop, they wouldn't fall to silence. The light... shackled beneath their feet... She raised her hand with utmost effort as her mouth opened and silent words slid off of her lips.
"Make them stop... silence them... please... give me back... my light..."
Her further attempts to speak were thwarted by the growing weakness as her shaking hand fell aside her.
The shadows multiplied, the screams grew louder, the reality shattered shard by shard...
The sudden feeling of cold, crooked hand upon her forehead made her twitch before she realised who it belonged to.
Her eyes slowly shifted towards the grey haired gnome as he mumbled few words to himself. Shortly after, the light around his palm made the shadows grow disturbed... their screams ever intensified, their movements hastened...
Svaein tried to resist from bottom of her strength, only for her body to fail her. The light around the gnome's hand flashed in a blast, recoiling him backwards as he seated himself with a gasp.
The shadows in her vision retracted, their moves slow, their screams dulled... she breathed heavily and stared at the night sky.
After he got his bearings, the gnome kneeled aside Svaein and grasped her hand softly. His beard hopped and twitched as his words jostled through it.
"How do you feel?" he asked calmly. After analizing Svaein further he noticed her apparent weakness and offered alternative insead.
"Grip my hand tight once if you're better, twice if not at all." he said with his high pitched voice. She gathered her strength, her fingers gripping around the gnome's crooked hand weakly before she let the grip fade away. The gnome smiled and with a relieved face gave Svaein a slow nod.
Her weak body relaxed in relief at the current absence of the shadows and their whispers. Her eyes closed, her consciousness drifted away.
The bliss of sleep, the temporary rest...

The explorers will gather at 21:00 tonight as standard. Starting our expedition from Feathermoon Stronghold in Feralas. Various individuals have already travelled there, others may be on their way. The gathering will decide their plans once all arrive.

The evening started with some misunderstanding on where the expedition team were to meet, as such in future I'll make it clearer for everyone to save hassle. Once the team had gathered and arrived, Fizzles handed out the new kit to everyone, to ensure the team all had the required equipment. Rhia Nyoma suggested we head as team first to see the Twin Colossal's as a sight worth beholding if nothing else, and then make camp at the nearby lake. With an encampment position chosen by the team, several of us set up camp while a small group scouted.
Presented risks
Horde presence is evident in the surrounding areas. (To be avoided at all cost)
Local wildlife continues to act in an unpredictable fashion, best avoided.
Ogres. Ogres, ogres, ogres.
'Haunted' ruins. To be further investigated. REMINDER:- Bring a priest or paladin.
Following expedition agenda
Dependant on team numbers, locations have been marked on our maps. All ruins of elven descent, however, some present higher risk factors than others. Given a large enough presence of able fighters, we can explore the larger ruins, given current numbers the safer routes will be taken. Scriptures to be taken of any written works found. All 'artifacts' to be kept amongst the company and decided upon what to be done with, and/or presented to the Senate.
Nice to see some new faces tonight, as well as the regulars!
Our expedition camp is setup in Feralas and ready to continue deeper into the history of night elven life years ago.
Still open to all who are interested, and remains very player driven and open to interpretation. Its been great to see some newer players take on the DM role throughout thh events and have the chance to step up to lead their own teams ICly in a low pressure environment.

The Meeting o' Explorers will be back at Bruuk's Corner in Ironforge tonight for a debrief following the Feralas Expedition and upcoming planning for the next trip. This will serve as both a planning event for the explorers and a random RP evening in Ironforge. All are welcome to attend.

Meeting overview
On discussion of the Feralas Expedition it was decided more preparation needs to take place prior to exploring more exotic locations. A review of findings shows many small trinkets and insignias to have looked over by scholars in Ironforge, and a small finely crafted statue of elven origin to be identified. Moving forward the team will be heading to Stranglethorn Vale next. External assistance is to be sought. Contact will be made with various organisations throughout the Eastern Kingdoms to form an agreement for help in exchange for a percentage of the expeditions funds. Organisations that come to mind are the Wardens of Azeroth, Holy Lightbringers, House of Yore (following previous assistance), Clans of Khaz Modan, and for myself to attend the Stormwind Council and House of Nobles.
Stranglethorn Expedition Team
The Stranglethorn Expedition will be a long one, and a dangerous one. That may reap many a find. Organisations who offer to assist will be listed on this part of the report along with what agreement has been settled. Independent parties will remain listed at the head of the report.

The Exploration team has settled on Stranglethorn Vale as its next planned site. Being such a vast and dangerous zone it has been decided that the success of a thorough expedition will largely rely on what support can be pulled in from elsewhere. This event will be open to all guilds to ICly gain from, be it in artifacts, gold, or contacts and reputation. It still remains open to independent individuals. The event chain will largely depend on who may choose to get involved, and how much the team can accomplish through combined efforts.
So please, contact me either on here or in-game if as a guild you would interested. If interested on simply a personal level, just come along. Next event Wednesday 13th.

A base camp has been set up parallel to the Nesingwary Expedition along the river bank, fires have been lit to deter crocolisks, and the hardier explorers will be taking shifts keeping watch for stray beasts. A team led by Denden Scrungen has marked the locations of ruins worth visiting, and even returned to camp with a decent looking jade cat statue (Which needs appraising to see how genuine it is). A team setup camp and checked the surrounding area, gathering firewood, food (Sagefish) and some Kingsblood plants were found which will come in handy.
Presented risks
Troll presence at a majority of the Stranglethorn ruins.
Tigers, panthers, monkeys, crocolisks and just about everything else you can think of that might eat you while you sleep.
Poisonous plantlife.
Rickety rope bridges.
Following expedition agenda
Ruins to be further explored, primarily looking for artifact finds.
Scout for a potential second camp-site deeper into the jungle.
Steer clear of the Venture Co. Operations in the area.
Find safe passage to the Cape of Stranglethorn.

Afraid not, between various other OOC responsibilities I've had to cut my time spent to run the event chain. I really enjoyed it while it lasted, and I'm sure some people can still pull something together if they'd like to.
At least for now though, the Explorers team under the guidance of Alnaz Slatehammer is taking a back seat for the foreseeable future, thanks for any times you attended and I hope you enjoyed it.
