Call to Chemicals
Call to Chemicals.
Pinned firmly to the walls of the Apothecarium and throughout the Undercity a thin yellow piece of paper with deep black letters tattooed to it. Upon it, the emblem of the Royal Apothecary Society.
The Royal Apothecary Society: Call to Chemicals.
Rumours, whispers and lies have shadowed the reputation of the Royal Apothecarium. Yet - a new age for the Apothecarium is to come. To herald our new mentality we have opened our secluded Society – you shall see some of the salvations the Royal Society of the Dark Lady works on.
Come and see the wonders of the Royal Society. Brewing Death, Ensnaring Sanity – reformed we stand a united front. A front in harmony with the Military exploits of our most glorious nation.
Behind our cauldrons of steel and behind our brews of poison there is a motive to aid all our forsaken Brothers and Sisters.
Seek us out. Hear the cry of the Royal Society – if you can stomach it.
The Meeting shall take place on the 15’Th of this month at the 9’Th bell past midday. Be ready to expand your chemical minds.
Please note: Humanoids of a non-lucid nature need not attend. In addition – only forsaken are asked to attend.
Suffer well.
Doctor Haluthious Vouten.

Here start the talks of the Royal Society! I welcome any forsaken player to attend and ask that if anyone else would like to attend that they get on their forsaken alts and come and have a good night with us! We shall be getting to know some of the things the the Royal Society does - nothing too exciting of course. We still want to keep our heads.
The event will start at 21:00 (Game time) in the Apothecarium in Undercity on the 15’Th of February (this Friday!).
I really hope to see a good number there! This is the hour of the Forsaken after all!
More information to follow!
P.s. Just to finally confirm – this is indeed forsaken only rp. We’ve already got too many orcs for our liking in the Apothecarium.
Look forward to seeing you all.
Regards - Hal.

Research papers for first meeting
Report from the Apothecarium: Current Medicial Research. (Medical Sector - Forsaken Health)
Research Code: APUC Med 112 DM
Apothecary: Dr. Haluthious Vouten
Security Clearance: Level 1 (General Public)
Topic: Delia Maggotus / “worm”
Information:
Delia maggotus is a genetically altered “worm” that is capable of working within the vessel that is the Forsaken body. Delias Maggotus’s is a larval stage worm whose life-cycle has been slowed by a considerable rate to carry out its function – removal of detritus.
Forsaken have a plight that is common to most non-living beings. Amongst humanoids the progressive rate of rot and decay is faster than other organism. Naturally limiting the “age” of forsaken. With regard to the “health” of the forsaken body this worm offers an opportunity under optimum conditions to increase the longevity of the body. Results show an exponential increase in longevity). Delias Maggotus feeds upon the internal rot and prevents a cascade effect were secondary rot sites form.
Forsaken are advised to only house the worm for a week before removing it. Please note that damage due to excessive feeding of worm can be fixed via stitching or necromantic aid.
Current level of testing: Subject “worm” has been released to forsaken population. Further results to follow. Results indicate that “worm” does not function properly in forsaken with high solute concentrations in remaining fluid of the body.
Results may vary from worm to worm and toxicity of internal environment of forsaken body.
The worm should be kept in a closed environment. In addition - a medium has been created that is isotonic to that of the "worms" blood chemistry for long term storage ( over 24hrs). This is due to Worm only having a semi-permeable membrane -its outer skin with weak epidermis layers beneath, that all chemical interactions use as passage with the external environment use.
The Apothecarium does not offer any insurance or compensation with regard to unforseen or unexpected side effects of experiments – Master Apothecary Faranell.
The Apothecarium appreciates problems that may arise. Please contact the Apothecarium’s help hotline should you have any problems. The Apothecarium – brewing death, making life. Your Apothecarium cares about you.

Report for first meeting
Topic: Co-factor X
Apothecary: Dr. Haluthious Vouten
Main Report: Fit for public viewing
Level 1b– Authorised Personnel only.
Code: UCA 125 RSA
Supplementary report: Redirected under Protocol Alpha
Level 3X - Maximum Security Clearance.
Code: VL- 666- CFX-TFSSB
Main Report: Department of Research and Development of the Royal Society.
Purpose: Co-factor X is a new chemical enhancer capable of multiplying the effect of brews by a threefold increase according to the statistical analyse. Confidence limits operating under a 95% margin.
Co-factor X works by offering another chemical pathway for reactions to take place. The Co-factor only operates within anabolic systems. Thus allowing a reduction in the overall entropy of the system (reducing the disorder of the system). Intermediates are formed that operate with a greater efficiency within the reacting system. Consequently - less energy is required for complex reactions to activate. As a whole, the co-factor maximises chemical efficiency and increases the overall yield of product while keeping enthalpy expenditure to a minimum.
In addition to this, in-vivo research indicates that the permeability of membrane proteins is altered. Co-factor X increases vesicle formation and thus transport within cells is increased. Brews that offer beneficial properties use this lower chemical pathway and increase the cellular reactions of respiration, glycolysis and the Krebs Cycle. Thus increasing the so-called reactivity of these mediums.
Please note: Side effects may include an extended period of fatigue.
Uses: Co-factor X under the guidelines issued by the Royal Society suggests that this enhancer is used ONLY for buffer solutions and strengthening brews (e.g. trolls blood elixir or other elixirs.)
Problems: Upon further research done by the Royal Society the brew has been considered ephemeral. Work is on-going, having analyses similar brews - such as a "Shaka" brew.
Any injury sustained in the Apothecarium will not be covered by Apothecarium’s insurance policy. Independent goblin insurance agencies are encouraged to not send clients into the Apothecarium.
