Who started the Stormwind Council?

Who started the Stormwind Council?
Were they Councilors/ministers at first or did they ask the people about it?
I would like to gather some information about their past, and the forming of the Council.

As far as my memory serves... it was possibly formed sometime maybe 3-4? months after DB was opened.

I remember when I did some raiding with TAW and visited a Council meeting back then.

Or then my memories might be horribly wrong!

I remember there being alot of paladins there.

I aswell would like to know about this, usefull information for the forming of Silvermoon Council.

The earliest councillors I can remember and who are still around to this day are Maelmoor, Lilath and Aarian I believe. Might want to poke one of them.

I have no clue who invented the idea. But from an old forum post, which dates back to 2006, that I digged up:

That's about right.

If my memory serves me right (i was on THE first meeting...!), council used to be a coalition of guild leaders working together against the Dark Sphere. How ministerial stuff and Laws got in, I do not know.

I do not remember all the people who started it, but it were about ~9.

I remember Zylo and Tynian. Maelmoor claims to've been there as well, but earliest I remember of Maelmoor is when council was meeting in SW Keep Gardens and he was a level 20ish paladin wearing a white dre---robe.

I have absolutely no idea as I joined DB merely about 7 months ago.

interesting story all in all.

the council was founded by many of the major alliance guilds back in vanilla during the few months after server launch, the primarily human guilds anyhow. it was formed as a means of "City defence" ... and nothing more, though how it came to become its 'political' self today i dont know or recall.

it was originally designed to be so that each guild had a single representitive of it in the form of a councilor, i cant remember any other founding members beyond the shining strand who elected 'zylo'. though it was strictly forbidden (or restrictive) of people who had no guild joining, as they brought no military power to the table... i recall i changed that last bit a litte.

also, meetings were private and held in westbrook garrison. the public was not allowed to attend.

it's changed... alot.
