[A-DB] [RP-PVP] The Disciples of Light!

The Disciples of Light is a Military Order of Knights and Champions of the Holy Light. Originally a Human-only order commissioned by the Northshire Abbey Priesthood with the prime objective: to help make the World a better place. Consisting solely on Holy Light followers, the Disciples of Light often arrange and participate in events dedicated to the Light, as well as duties that encompass working for the Alliance as a whole; masses, pilgrimages, patrols, calls to arms against the Horde, Undead or Burning Legion, and to deliver diplomacy to other factions. Ever ready to bring the battle to their enemies when needed, the Disciples however will always desire a the path of least bloodshed, provided it does not break their code and beliefs.

Originally a Human-only Order whose primary task was the defence and protection of Stormwind City, the last bastion of humanity and the surrounding Kingdom, The Disciples of Light now also accept Draenei and Light-following Dwarves into their ranks. The have also over time started to welcome Gnomes and even the cursed Worgen, provided they agree to keep their bestial form under control.

Not all who walk the path of the light are Paladins or Priests, the world after all is made up of more than just these few and the light guides and protects all. Many different people of various backgrounds and skills also walk the path of the light, utilizing their skills and abilities in bettering the lives of others, be that protecting them by martial might or through magical barriers, or be it through the knowledge of the elements; even to spiritual and worldly wisdom and of course diplomacy.

Once the a major police force of Stormwind City, the Disciples still hold a duty to enforce the King's law and to ensure the safety of it's citizens. This long history of crime fighting has ensured that they are hated by all forms of criminal and cultist organizations. However in recent years the Disciples started to focus the majority of their efforts in counter-dark arts operations. They still however like to lend a hand to their Allies the Stormwind Regiment and Blazing Shields in enforcing the law and protecting the citizens of Stormwind.



Following the downfall of the Order of the Silver Hand, the Church of the Holy Light and the Priesthood of Northshire Abbey felt that Humanity and the Alliance as a whole were lacking a Holy Light-enthused Order to stave off the chaos that ensued the World - the threat of the Horde, Scourge and Burning Legion loomed large. At Northshire, Brother Neals had also gained information concerning the motives of the Forsaken - the Undead race that reside in the North, led by their Queen Sylvanas Windrunner in the Undercity, deep beneath the ruins of the fallen City of Lorderan.

He decided that a special new group of Humans were needed to uphold the Virtues of the Holy Light, similar to the legendary Order of the Silver Hand, to spread it's teachings far and wide, help protect the Kingdom of Elwynn, combat Windrunner's Forsaken armies and apothecary works, aid the fight against the Scourge and be ready to defend any future threat from the Horde or any other source of evil. He therefore placed this task in the hands of a young Human Paladin that he had helped raise since birth - a boy named Aarian. Born to unknown parents, Aarian was raised in the Abbey with Brother Neals seeing him as the son he never had.

Aarian named the group The Disciples of Light, and set off to spread the word of the Holy Light around Elwynn and Stormwind, re-igniting the passion for a once-great philosophy. Alongside three close friends in Bors Lighthammer, Morfran Keane and Lavitz Slambert, the Disciples set about spreading word of their cause, building up their numbers, studying hard in the ways of the Light, aiding the Cathedral of Stormwind, taking prominence in the politics of the City, rooting out corruption and evil, and putting in motion their crusade against the Forsaken and the Scourge.

It is with open arms that the Disciples still to this day recruit and seek out stout and brave hearted men and women of the Light to join the cause and strive to make this World a better place for all.

The Disciples of Light offers a simple structure that divides its members in three groups:

Officers : With ranks Master Chaplain, High Chaplain and Chaplain in descending order for the chain of command. These Disciples dedicate their collective efforts into leading the order. Training their mind, body and faith in preparation for the horrors they must endure in our dangerous world.

Members : With ranks Knight and Crusader which form the bulk of the guild's troops and from which junior officers are selected. These Disciples are the ones most often encountered, enforcing city laws, defending the innocent, healing the wounded and spreading the word of the Holy Light.

Trainees : With ranks Aspirant and Lay member. These Disciples are tasked with learning from the other members of the order. To study the lights teachings, to hone their skills and to learn what it is to be a disciple.




Master Chaplain Sir Beladon Indarys : The current commander of the Disciples of Light, leading the order through matters of Faith, War and Politics, tasked with ensuring the Disciples abide by the code and follow the three virtues. With a kind heart but a firm hand, he works tirelessly to keep the order functioning, seeking to guide all disciples whether it is combat training for a new recruit or instructing a knight on battlefield leadership.


Chaplain Sir Vardrek Ironhammer : A captain of the order, second only to the Master Chaplain himself. A long serving soldier of the alliance, he applies his military expertise to most combat situations and serves as the master chaplains military advisor. He also assist with the day to day running of the order such as training, lessons in the light and drawing in new recruits. In the absence of the master chaplain he serves as the orders leader.


Chaplain General Sir Valestrion Drayke : Unlike the other officers, the Chaplain General does not take an active role in the management of the Disciples of Light directly. Instead, the Chaplain General is tasked with the management of the Holy Brigade, an over-arching organization between various Orders of the Church of the Holy Light. Sir Valestrion is also the Disciples Politcal representative on the Stormwind Council.




Crusader Ragnar Thynderssen : While considered one of the newer members of the order, Ragnar has proven himself as a stalwart and loyal member. Never shying away from his duty, be it healing a wounded citizen or arresting a thug, Ragnar is always ready for action. He has often formed good relations with other citizens of the alliance and tends to have good knowledge of the biggest criminal cases in Stormwind. No criminal can hide from this Tenacious dwarf.


Crusader Terenus "Doombanger" : A long serving member of the order who takes a keen interest in politics. Having spent time serving in Magic and Justice. He takes a keen interest in the cities protection. Due to previous deeds, an officer of the Stormwind First Regiment Captain Ralegh gave him the nickname Doombanger after they had taken down a fearsome demon attacking the city of Stormwind. The name has stuck with him since and his fellow Disciples never let him forget it.


Crusader Melamoria Stormchild : Another Disciple that has been with the order for some time now. Hot headed and rash at times, she often finds herself being lectured by the Master Chaplain. however her heart is in the right place and she readily stand the line against the tide of darkness that often surges across our lands. Willing to sacrifice all to ensure her duty is fulfilled. A skilled healer and medic that is never afraid to get her hands messy be it a wounded patient or disposing of the foul undead.

The Disciples of Light try to offer a roleplay experience true to the realms RP-PvP status, offering action in different aspects of the game. World PvP, and to lesser extent PvE, are integral parts of the Disciple roleplay. Yet they remain a full time roleplay guild, offering character development, religious and anti-cultist roleplay.



Beginning roleplayers and new characters are welcomed in our order as much as veteran roleplayers. The path that the Disciples offer in their ranks ensure a gradual progression and have been tailored to run parallel with a leveling character.

Disciples being in Draenor only makes me wish Karabor was our actual city.

The Disciples have been victorious in their efforts against the legion. Enemy couriers have been relieved of their vital information revealing prime targets to strike!

Furthermore under the guidance of Commander Coppersocket, The Disciples have enlisted in C.O.G Shield to wage war against horde marauders harassing alliance outposts in Draenor

The Disciples have returned to Stormwind City in order to recruit new blood, train and prepare for the future!
