Questions of the Light and Divine Shadow.

Their is mechanics for things and then their is lore, just cause you see a particular spell used and assume it is what it is doesn't mean it is what it is, it's all i'm gonna say.

You mean lore like Archbishop Benedictus and Anduin Wrynn both using Light and Shadow at the same time? Also you're a paladin and you just necroed a post, and necromancy is shadow magic.
