Your biggest RP regret!

So, RP is mainly improvisation, as such, a lot of the time our characters/guilds/plots suffer our random whims, moods and ideas. Which is a big part of why it is fun, I think. Sometimes though... I know I've made a few weird decisions for my characters that I might not have done again. This thread is for sharing stories like that.

Regret number 1:
Accidentally ripping off Mace Windu's death when Dwyburn hit the dust.

Regret 2:
Not playing out his cultist side more while he was at it and letting a lot of ongoing plotlines die along with him.

Regret 3:
A few of Theodoric's tales about the parts of his past can't possibly true in the same universe. And while it is completely in character for him to make up a few lies to make himself look better, the problem is: I can't seem to decide which ones should be true.

Regret 1
Stopping RP in 2011 and not just moving to another realm to get away from the drama.

Regret 2
Not trying to RP other character styles until now. Incredibly fun with a different type of character from my usual.

Regret 3
Not returning to RP sooner than the last month.

Only have one regret, and that's that I had the perfect defense in a RP fight once. I felt really bad about it, but looking back- it was that or have the character die. I still feel the RP I did at that specific fight was extremely poor.

Beyond that, just about everything I've done so far had lead me up to where I am now. Knowing where I excel and where I'm weak in RP.

It has helped me get a firm understanding of the type of RP I like to be around and what RP I want to avoid like the plague.

I tend not to linger in the past and thus i barely remember the things that i do regret, though i am sure there are plenty. We do our thing, we fail up, we improve and we grow as roleplayers. All part of the thing.

Biggest regret: Playing waaaaay too many characters. I've had at least 90 over the course of my years of roleplaying. But now I'm happy with just 2. The first step to curing altoholism is to admit you have a problem.

My only regret is making Artemis everything. He used shadow, he used light, was an engineer, inventor, alchemist, he was good with a bow and a sword, etc... hence why I decided to make him just your original fellow citizen after I realized and moved on to other characters that I'd keep as fairly good ones. Arte's kinda my most succesfull character as well as my biggest failure.

Martha.. Need not say more.

Not playing Horde from the start... really wish i had of.

Making brigs no longer wear his green troll gear. Making him a worgen. Stupid blizz and not letting monks be worgen.

Swapping from Horde to Alliance after TBC hit.. Too.. Many.. Blood elves... WEREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE EXTINCT?!

This. Pretty much this.

Several mess-ups of weird character decisions when I couldn't decide what direction to turn to at all with Eldiros and subtly tried to do everything at the same time.

1) Letting Scuzy Sunburn die.

2) Not starting my own guild sooner.

Not RPing Lavian sooner when the DK RP scene was a lot bigger.

Not hooking up with the Chapter while they were still here

I think most has done this. It's one of the many stages of learning. You could say that it's kind of required to understand where and what you really want to do.

Trying out different things to see what appeals to you shouldn't be seen as a mistake honestly.

Not taking a stand about becoming guild leader of the Marauders after 2 years of doing it in all but actual rank.

Failing that, not forming my own guild sooner.

Leaving AD behind when DB first opened. It has been a horrible nine years. Just look at you people.

Buying into server politics and attempting to join in with the venemous circlejerks in an attempt to fit in with a group of people who were, to be frank, the cream of the cunt.

Things are so much better once you eject yourself from that way of thinking!

Oh, and not sticking with Mikhael, he was a fun character.

Same deal with playing Xentala on Argent Dawn, but tbh he was Arenfel with tusks and a Jamaican accent.

I literally cannot get into Troll rp. Everyone just reminds me of my nan.

And biggest regret... hmm... all the awesome story opportunities that went nowhere because awesome people went MIA :')

My biggest regret is killing off my first main. She was a crappy dk, but a good personality.

I miss evil cultist rp.

Not being there at all during the final year of the Chapter, leaving WoW for a few months of Warhammer Age of Reckoning, not sticking with Elo and Khen when the Northern Vigil was formed, not being active in Sin Belore, failing to be active in Gwen's cult and failing to keep the last Scarlet Crusade guild I was in, alive.
