(H) Battle for Thousand Needles (Interest Check)

Hello people!

The Dawnchasers are having an event in the coming weeks (still being planned) which revolves around a couple of the characters in the guild and is part of our general "give aid to the Tauren people" theme. The story thusfar is that the Dawnchasers will be heading south into Feralas to aid the refugees there from Thousand Needles and the constant Grimtotem raids. We plan to be there for at least 1 week and have at least 3 "main" events, with people setting up a camp and being able to RP randomly with each other. Daily life in Feralas, etc.

A large part of it is based on the idea that we would really like and enjoy a Dungeon Mastered event between the Dawnchasers (+ friends) and the Grimtotems. But we would like to open the event to everybody here - and all Roleplayers in general!

The "main" characters involved hail from Thousand Needles, or what it was, and have traveled to Thunder Bluff after hearing of the Dawnchasers and that they are willing to help Tauren in need. After participating in Northrend and helping out in Mulgore, they are now returning back to their homeland to fight for it and help their own people - and after lending aid to Thunder Bluff and the Dawnchasers, they have asked for us to travel with them and lend them our aid.

Our thought is we are going to bring aid to the refugees and make the situation in Feralas/Thousand Needles more well-known. But, we will also plan scout out and stumble upon a Grimtotem raid party, fight them and then take the fight to the Thousand Needles (Brief version).

How do you get involved? It's simple! You don't have to be in our guild or even play Horde as your main -- all we ask is that you have a Tauren character that you are willing to come and roleplay with. We will need people to roleplay townsfolk and defenders of Camp Mojache, roleplay refugees and even roleplay Grimtotem so that we can have a full-on DM'd battle between us. The Grimtotem could even win, too, we're going to figure that all out eventually.

There's even potential for a million mini-stories to be intertwined with ours - perhaps you're a refugee whose parents were killed? Revenge! Perhaps your child was kidnapped? You're a former Grimtotem and want to fight back? Bring it!

You don't even have to have multiple Tauren characters - you only have to change their appearance via the barber shop to make them look like a Grimtotem, of if you want to play a refugee one day and a Grimtotem the next, again, just head to the barber shop and use MyRP or TotalRP to change your visable name!

This event is not actually going to involve PvP, maybe a duel if appropriate, but it's just for those willing to RP something different to come and have some fun with us for a week.

It definitely looks interesting. I forwarded this thread to our forum. We will be busy in the coming weeks, so we'll see when you lot set this up to give any confirmation.

Neutral to both the Horde and Alliance- the Blackbrews try to avoid conflict with either faction directly, at least.

Would give Alliances chance to participate and give nice RP boost for the new guild. And because of game mechanics, pvp would be better than only duels!

I don't think the Dawnchasers are the type to hire mercenaries plus, we're not really aiming for it to be a PvP event but it's something we may reconsider?

As it is now, we want it to be more dungeon mastered and more RP based than PvP. We want people to RP every day life of Feralas / Camp Mojache with a bit of drama thrown in between!

Well you might not be the type to hire mercenaries, but our Chieftain is from Feralas so he has reason to go, besides, I am sure a deal can be struck

Nobody else is interested in this? I know things are a bit quiet right now but... this could be exciting!

After the Silvermoon Festival, the Red Blades will likely be taking some time to hang around and such in central Kalimdor. (Barrens, Durotar, Mulgore, etc.) If we have time before the campaign, we might be interested in taking part.
