I don't have a warrior on alliance. Was my rogue, I should have said Dismantle.

We need more paladins up in the Plaguelands, to fight for the Alliance and the Light! Last night we just had twenty six, twenty five and a half were ret! (Half is because I play holy too )

I won't be fighting for the Alliance, though the Horde will see support from the Council, and it's combined power.

I'd like to contribute an idea for this campaign. I have this idea for a spy-hunt.

Scenario:
While the leadership of the Horde gather at the Bulwark to plan the ungoing campaign, a few spies have been sent west by the Alliance leaders to gather intelligence. These spies see a set of plans lying on the table and don't hesitate to snatch them and make a run for it back to their main base. In the mean time a guard at the Bulwark *sees* the spies make their move and sound the alarm. A hunt on the spies and the important plans follows. If the spies manage to return to base unharmed, they win. If they are killed, the hunters win. The outcome determines if the Alliance will be having a strategic edge during the next (after this event) battle -- I suspect by just being informed here or via contact.

Some restrictions:

• Both parties must be on foot.
  
• Stealth is prohibited.
  
• Only two spies.
  
• Only five hunters.

Failed concept, no stealth, yet 5 hunters? So aspect of the pack = instant win yes?

Hunter has a different meaning than the WoW class. You know, because the spies are hunted down.

Druid cat form. Hunter aspect. Talents that allow faster on foot movement.....:S

Life is unfair. A thing like this shouldn't be balanced really. The spies should struggle, there's no fun in running from one end to the other without contact with the enemy. Not to mention both sides have their advantages -- assuming there is a bit of a mixture of which classes the characters are.

In short, balance isn't really the issue here. There's this thing called common sense which should be relied on more often. Restraint goes a long way.

So 5v2, on foot, no stealth, and yes you admit it's unfair, yet you know Horde will always win, because the allies have 2 options: Run and be killed while running, or fight and lose since they're outnumbered?

I'm up for it. Gives me a fair use to use Sprint glyphed>sprint glyphed>nitro boosts>Speed potion. . And 5v3 would balance it out more. Plus you contradict yourself as it is. Granted it should be a chase of cops and robbers and yeah confrontations to be had, you failed on one concept that 5v2 is a slaughter unless say I was on my full wrathful warlock with a full wrathful holy paladin. You garantee confrontations which means 5v2 is likely to happen which is a one sided fight. Turn that to a 5v3 and it may be more fair is what I am saying while "slightly favouring" the hunters.

They are not meant to fight the people that are hunting them, I can't be more clear than this.

As much as it isn't meant to be "fair" on the ones with the plans Gnash. You miss the concept of balance, will it be fun? Sure for the hunters. But will it be fun for the spies participating?

What I am bottomline suggesting is change the rules a bit if you want both sides to have fun with this. As far as I understand it will spoil it for the spies, and will be fun for the hunters who can use game mechanics to track and tackle you down like a speeding truck.

Isn't there enough area for the spies to run?
Btw, do the spies get a head start, I can't imagine the hunters are ready and all when the spier ninja the plans?

Your mindset is too much focused on PvP I think. RP > balance.

And as for the way this will be handled; all in good faith. Of course this will be discussed with the people participated to make it as fun to act out as possible. It's not that rigid as is portrayed by me. So Jayse, you can expect to be contacted soon.

And naturally there will be a bit of a headstart, as the people tracking them need to be rallied.

My mind is on the RP. But let's be honest with ourselves. PVP -will- be involved with the hunters in mind. As I said I am up for it on my rogue but eh it would be a bit shitty to have no chance in hell if they caught up with you over "slightly having a chance".

Plus no stealth I can live with, however what about the use of vanish if even for a few seconds to "evade certain death"?
