Blizzard should consider updating the role-playing policy, especially on RP-PVP servers. Those rules date back to when MMORPGs had smaller and more dedicated fan-bases, whereas WoW now has around 7 million subscribers, the majority of them not accustomed to previous MMORPGs and lacking a certain "mentality". In the early days a big chunk of WoW players came from Everquest 2, DAOC etc, and thus had another kind of attitude towards the game and its players, roleplayers included.

Camping is pretty much just being out and spending time in the forest. So a bunch if campers would be a bunch of people out spending time in the forest. Regardless of the context though, they are griefers and Blizzard won't do anything about it because you can't prove that they are grieving on OOC grounds

The rules that the guilds 'Darnassus' and 'Twilight Hammer' broke were that they named themselves after IC factions. Listed in the thread on page 3 or 4 if read. Interesting none the less.

From the looks of a few posts, a load of people complained about the guild just because when they typed /who Darnassus it would come up with the people in Darnassus and everyone in the guild. If enough people complained about it, with the RP rule to enforce it that may well be why.

Another guild 'Stormwind Infantry' got a force name change. I wonder if any guilds on DB will be affected, none are really named after any factions on first thought. Still interesting to observe however.

I really like this development. Maybe it'll teach people to stop pretending to be factions in the game under blizzard's control!

Considering that The Three Hammers was named Dwarven Rifle Squad before, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if this troll would try to report us Dwarves as well (especially considering how much we use ingame factions and whatnot in our RP).

Also, I don't particularily care much to read about AD's personal issues. If the purpose of this thread is to filter out the bogus from the realm forums and provide us with only the meaningful and interesting discussions going on, then this thread has been consistently failing the past few posts, since it's all been about this drama or the other.

my main complaint would be more that just posting links is just worthless. at least add a description as to what i'm clicking towards. the same would be said for the news thread. its all just pointless; Here's a link, but i'm not even going to say what's interesting about it. that kinda defeats the purpose of a forum, i'd be on reddit if i just wanted crappy spam.

one of my mottos: if its not worth a description, the link isn't worth it to read.
