why nobody comes to DB

Threads like this http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/7426603851?page=1 turn into massive AD circlejerks because nobody on DB posts on the official forums.

I like the logic that it is a circle Jerk for AD to do it but shrewd action for DB to join in XD

Did just now for fun. But lots of people post here and there, of course it's harder when you got like two fizzy drinks and one is more popular than the other. And both being fizzy drinks they will judge one upon the other, well some of them.

I doubt one thread in the general gameplay area of the forums is the reason "nobody" comes to defias brotherhood, which is total bollocks. It's a high population server, ffs.

That must also explain why every other guild got ganked to the point of moving to Stormwind!

That's a bit of an overstatement. I do tend to attend players to the fact that this a role-playing realm, not just another pvp realm, when a "considering a move" thread pops up. I'm just informing them of what's up. If you're not interested in role-play, you have no business being on a role-playing realm, in my opinion.

I'm not concerned with the apparent decline of the server. I think it's something that is happening on a scope way beyond my reach, and no number of forum posts is going to change that. I tend to try and not worry about things I can't do much about. I'd rather just log in and role-play my various characters.

Telling people that AD isn't actually the only RP server would help massively. It would only take one post in that thread.

I think you're greatly overestimating the reach the forums have.

I'm really not.

Since posting the guide thread on the realm forums a month ago, I've had at least 4 people telling me they saw it and decided to try DB. That's one thread - not stickied, not popular topics - on our realm forum (which a lot of people won't even check), and that's only the people that took the time to tell me they saw it.

Vangrel's "Why don't you role play?" thread hit popular topics and it brought a hell of a lot of people into the RP community. I've started talking to/RPing with at least 3 people from that, and I've noticed Stormwind being a lot more active than it was.

I really don't think we can deny that the surge in activity on our realm forum alone did a lot for DB. Making it known on the other forums, instead of AD being known as the RP server, would do a lot of good.

You talking to seven people is not a surge of activity.

It's not a lot.

It's representative. Instead of claiming to know things based on absolutely nothing, why don't you look at the size of Alliance LFRP, ask about how activity has changed, and ask about guild recruitment?

Because LFRP is 3-4x the size it was, guild recruitment exploded for TGC and from what I've been told it did the same for most other guilds, and Lex at least said that SW is more active.

So what if it is not 'a lot'? New people is always nice. Rather 7 more people than none at all, is a fresh breath of air.

No, I'm not. I'm basing it on what I've seen, on what I've been told, and on what other people seem to think. You're pulling it all out of your ass, which is typical on DefiasRP.

Any added roleplayer is great the regiment and forlorn cartel bring multiple new roleplayers in weekly including people that never thought roleplay could be fun

Instead of constantly whining and jerking about AD and how dead roleplay is on DB you should go out of your way to roleplay with more people and to keep roleplay intresting instead of having all our roleplay constantly be centered around weekly council's of zzzzzzz and staring at the canals

tldr Defias Brotherhood is fun and people/characters know eachother which makes things very intresting, constantly comparing DB to AD aint going to get us nowhere other then Raelan's underwear (Who's penis has not yet been confirmed thus we'll end up going home very unsatisfied)

I'm not. I'm saying that if nobody knows DB is an active server because the only server that's ever mentioned is AD, nobody's going to come to DB. Simple logic of cause and effect.
