[A] Wild Tempest
[The following poster is displayed on various boards across Alliance territories]
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Underneath the main poster, it says, "The Alliance Fleet is always in need of more sailors and marines for the war effort! If you are willing to volunteer, contact the Minsitry of Defense or any military recruitment officer!"
Wild Tempest began as a paramilitary group by Admiral Taylor in Kun-Lai summit, recruiting from local Pandaren, Alliance adventurers and survivors of destroyed units. After the landing of the Alliance Fleets and Operation: Jade Fist, Wild Tempest was incorporated into the Grand Alliance military structure and made into a multiracial company. The company later fell into ruin after the Reclamation of Stromgarde, falling to an forsaken ambush and losing majority of its members. Several months later, a former 7th Legion Lieutenant reassembled the survivors and took the company as her own to lead it to new glory...
...Yet on a different shore the Siege of Orgrimmar was starting, and the High Command have passed on new orders for the Company, expected to join the Siege on Orgrimmar. By the request of the Commander, the soldiers were given a moment of rest and time to enjoy Brewfest, but eventually, the red shores of Durotar await...

- Brief Guild Concept:
- Wild Tempest (full name: 157th Wild Tempest Company) is an Alliance military guild open to all races and classes. The guild is devoted to immersive Role-play with a good story and strong military theme.
Military theme does not mean that all RP will revolve around PvP, although PvP is certainly a part of it. "Military" in this case means that most RP will be devoted, in one way or another, to fighting on the side of the Alliance against the Horde and other enemies. It also means the guild is run like part of the military, with discipline, hierarchy and feel it entails.
Wild Tempest is not intended to become larger than a company, will never lay claim to being the Alliance Army and will steer clear of guarding and criminal&cultist Role-play unless the situation is just right and participation makes perfect sense.
- Guild Activities:
- There will be camp-RP involving training and camplife in-between larger events, sometimes it will be replaced with leave in a major city or RP hub. Sailing and other travel-RP will happen frequently, whenever the guild moves from a camp or continent to another. There will also be time and place for preparation: meeting other guilds, organizing the next operation, recruiting aid and finding rare supplies.
Dungeon Mastered events will be used for fighting non-played villains and as filler on operations and camp-site RP. It is a lot more fun to patrol around camp if suddenly there is a surprise attack, even if that attack is dungeon-mastered.
Being a guild that roleplay mostly outside the safety of city walls, PvP activity is encouraged to provide protection against ganking. The guild run Rated Battlegrounds weekly and many of the members engage actively in Arena.
W-PvP will mostly consist of smaller-scale skirmishes instead of massive zerg to give battles a more personal and tactical feeling. Large-scale W-PvP campaigns will take place, but they won't be the bread and butter of the guild's activities.
- Ranks, Organization and Discipline:
- Ranks of Wild Tempest are used solely to define soldier's duties and responsibilities and will not be handed out as rewards and encouragements.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Captain: commander of the company. (Inran)Lieutenant: second-in-command of the company, having authority over the entire company when the Captain is unavailable. (Eodain)Sergeant: general field-leading officers, squad-leader (8-12) and tactical commander on the ground. (Céléste, Élegost)Corporal: lowest of the officer ranks, fireteam leader (4) and reliable go-to person on camp. (Hugir, Shiiri, Kwu)Lance-Corporal: soldier proven their reliability through strength, guile and loyalty.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Private: full-fledged member of the company
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Recruit: fresh face in the company.
Military theme means a clear chain of command. Every soldier knows, at any given time, who has the authority to give orders to him and who doesn't. There will not be any shouting matches between sergeants who can't agree.
Army Discipline will be enforced, but it will not be nearly as chokingly strict as modern militaries. For instance, drinking on duty would not normally be punished while drunk and disorderly behavior would be. Getting in a fight with an officer might be overlooked if the officer in question doesn't mind it. Again, this is a military-themed guild which means that there are clear consequences and protocols to be followed. In short, we will employ following disciplinary measures. If offences persist, the severity of punishment will of course escalate. Which means you need to be caught drunk thrice to get a nasty punishment. There may be some overlap, as seriousness of an offence depends greatly on context. Getting in a fight with a soldier off duty is not the same as getting in a fight with him on the battlefield.
Admonition: that is to say, very stern talking to and a note on the record, for minor offences such as drunkenness or taking poor care of the equipment.
Reprimand : a formal and unpleasant warning and another note on the record usually followed by a punishment, used for intermediary offences such as disobeying minor orders, negligence or incompetence.
Punishment : an actual punishment like additional chores or even incarceration, used for serious offences such as disobeying orders, gross incompetence.
Court Martial : a trial with a high ranked military officer as a judge, where a more harsh punishment will be given. Used for very serious offenses.
Summary Execution: what? Yes indeed. Traitors will be shot. As in permanently killed. So take a note of this if you want to role-play a horde spy.
Overall, the ranks, the hierarchy and the discipline are meant to provide the guild with the military atmosphere and make it feel more like a military organization instead of a bunch of weekend adventurers. There will not be any ridiculous, over-the-top nonsense one sees in abundance in movies. "The first and the last word that leaves your mouth is 'sir', understood?" No way.
- D.A.M.N.I.T:
- D.A.M.N.I.T. Or the "157th" Dashing Association of Marvelous, Noteworthy and Ingenious Tinkers are the power behind anything even remotely mechanical within the Company. Be it the upgraded engines and firepower of the Warship of the Company, 'The Stormbringer' or anything else from gears and guns what the Command and fellows soldiers ask for.
These tinkers of the Tempest not only use their spanners and many other tools for service of the Company, but for everybody Alliance aligned! Be the customer a soldier from another unit, a minister of a city or a simple citizen, they are all welcome to browse through and buy inventions these creative minds have made....Or perhaps they have a ingenious idea themselves! But lack the knowledge and/or the resources to create it. No worry, D.A.M.N.I.T. will help!
- "Last Chance" program:
- [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The Last Chancer programme's initial conception was a created designed for criminals and conscripts of the Grand Alliance. The "Last Chance" program is a place for hard men and women to whom life has not been kind. Outcasts with no other place to go, prisoners with severe sentences that choose service in the army over the noose or imprisonment.
The Last Chancers are given the assignments other soldiers are too valuable to do, because they are "expendable". The nasty jobs, the dangerous tasks, things no sane person would do willingly. Those of "Last Chance" are given no other options but to tread forward or die, in hope of someday earn their pardon and gain their freedom.
The "Last Chance" program is open to all who wish to seek clemency in the eyes of the Crown and the Grand Alliance as a whole. Convicts, and Exiles alike. However this is of course highly subjective and each individual will be looked on as a separate case with varying degree of severity both by the Officers of the 157th Company, and the Officials of the Grand Alliance.
Wild Tempest work in co-operation with the Stormwind Regiment and regularly visit their jails in hope of new recruits wishing to roleplay conscripts in military, or simply as another way to avoid execution from various crimes. Times of service is different in each individual case, ranging from a month to indefinitely. The time of service will always be agreed OOC with each individual based on their own wishes.
People interested in this concept should be aware of the nature, dangers and limitations brought by the concept before applying. Read more about the concept [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

I have very fond memories of interacting with this guild in the early months of Mists of Pandaria, when you were still installed in Pandaria.
I hope to make more such memories with you in the future!

Re: [A] Wild Tempest
Last night, Wild Tempest took on two ships that had been bothering Westguard Keep for weeks. After clash of fighting, explosions, gunfire and sinking of one ship, a blue Alliance colored cloak was lift high up in the mast of the pirate ship still floating.
Next is to sail back south and begin to make 'slight' modifications on the boat. When we are finished, even the gunship Skyfire will appear as a children's toy

Hi there!
I was in the old Tempest; right now I'm just taking a break from WoW due to exam-related things and other things of little importance (I wish!) but would I be welcome to join again with Eodain when I come back at about 22nd May?

You would most certainly be welcome to join us again, Eodan. Trust me, you are not only one with real life knocking on the door and demanding attention. Half of our members are currently either doing exams, on business travel or as it is in my case, serving in the army. Still it have not slow down our growth a single bit and based on the feedback i am getting, we're still as great as the old Wild Tempest used to be.

Found with two Gyrocopter launch pads, Steam engine and two propels for when there is no wind and "Havoc Cannon" hid inside the Eagle.

After several days in the south seas, Training for Sailing, Wild Tempest is now ready to continue their recruitment mission and drawn by the hope of salvaging Titan technology up from the Storm Peaks. Little do they know of the shadow cast over the company by the Cult of the Damned waiting to greet them to the Frozen Wastes to stay forever...

Re: [A] Wild Tempest
Off the coast of Grizzly Hills, Northrend, the 23th day of May, The Stormbringer, the battleship and headquarters of the 157th Wild Tempest Company was laid siege by the Lich Kedilith of The Frozen Covenant and her spectral army with devastating results.
The siege begun with mist creeping towards the anchored ship. The melody of a flute echoing through the air, setting the weak-minded into sleep. Clouds gathering and storm rising, as the first wave of undead sailors climbed on the deck of The Stormbringer. A battle commenced, where the spectral sailors dealt damage to the men aboard, and managed to take out the steam engines below the deck.
The waves rising, crushing against the ship, the rain starting and lightning bringing light to the ship in midst of the battle that could be straight from nightmares. Several waves of spectral sailors assaulted, until for a moments pause, a ghostship arose from the depths, unleashing barrages of cannonballs towards The Stormbringer. The battleship, however, well equipped for naval combat, managed to damage the ghostship severly with their own cannons. The ghostship then rammed straight to the ship of Wild Tempest, sinking itself from the damage done on it while the remnants of the spectral sailors climbed onboard, unleashing both sword and magic on the defenders.
And just when the situation started to look better, a Lich manifest on the upper deck of The Stormbringer. A fierce battle came place, the Lich having the upper hand, wrecking damage and impaling the hull of The Stormbringer with massive ice-spikes before teleporting away.
The Stormbringer remained afloat several hours after battle, before sinking down to the dark depths, giving those still alive chance to salvage whatever they could and transport them to Grizzly Hills. The great battleship, taken from pirates and modified for military use is no more.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The soldiers of the Wild Tempest, along with the explorers of the Freelancers, now stranded shore in midst of Grizzly Hills, so far from home and without a ship to escape this accursed land of Northrend...
Cheers for the Frozen Covenant for a great battle. Although my part was only to be a spectral sailor attacking, i enjoyed every moment of havoc. Wild Tempest lost, but we still had great fun, along with least one character death leading to interesting developments.

Or rather because of the demolition team that was taken onboard to set bombs inside the ghost ship
However yes it was an amazing event last night.

TUESDAY, 5th of June
Inran, earlier in the Stormwind Council: "Am be have to "improvise" if am be given no place set up temporary headquarters for 157th company. Am thank you for your time"
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
During the Night after the Stormwind Council session much movement was seen in the direction of the Old Barracks. When the sun rose in the morning, the Banner of the Alliance hang against the wall of one of the charred towers. Large canvas, apparently taken from tents are taut with ropes to fill some of the larger gaps of missing stone, smoke rise in midst of the ruins and a path have been cleared through the rubble.
Silly Humans, having a huge area left unused and yet they fight for every building in the city!
