Serious Response Time:
While I can only speak for myself here and not for the other names you've mentioned, I like DoL. In fact, I like you too. While your transparent and vocal attitude to your opinions is detested by some, I find it respectable that you feel comfortable being so open. As for DoL, I'm fairly new to the server; having joined only around the start of MoP I've hardly experienced all of what the server has to give thus far. In my past experiences, the Disciples have been admirable roleplayers whom I could look to to set a good standard of roleplay. Even to this day I continue to experience a high standard of roleplay from you and other members, and I enjoy it. But that does not go to say you are without fault.
Rather than list what I think is wrong, I'll instead ask you to reflect; why do you think so many people as of late have been voicing negativity over the guild? What could the source of the problem be? Could it all be hot air? There is the saying "There is no smoke without fire." If I were to receive criticisms which I believed to be entirely unfounded, I would still endeavour to understand the cause of the criticisms, and perhaps learn something of my own behaviour in the process.
To summarise, I find your roleplay enjoyable and have no real problem with you, or any of the members of the guild (even The Supereme Murderboss Overlord Death Emperor, Destroyer of Worlds Extreme, the Tantalisingly Tactile Terenus, the Best PvPer in the World. I find him entertaining.)

I'm looking at you Ixirar, Adry, Erwtenpeller, and Krogon.
Coincidentally, they're all in the Band of the Brave. Who would've guessed?

Or when you try to set fire to some wet sticks and they don't catch but do create an ungodly amount of smoke?

Re: Diary of Coppersocket
I suppose it's time I made a little comment on this subject.
I have no idea where these views of RP ganking are coming and would certainly like to be informed of such with (if possible) proof. Dol has strict rules with regards to PvP and RP. Sure we sometimes get bored and like to screw around out in the world, because lets face it, Stormwind is rather boring, especially after 4-5 expansions of RPing there. If we're buzzing around, it doesn't mean we are there for the single minded reason of ruining of Rp, we're just out looking for a little bit of fun.
I get the feeling that most of these "rumours" are blown out of proportion and the culmination of "Butt-hurticus maximus". The fact that no one has approached me on the subject and I get told all of this "through word of mouth" convinces me the matter is not of great concern. I will stand by the point that Dol does not corpse camp and sit around with the purpose of Ganking RP.
Either way, It's an RP-PvP server, feel free to skewer our corpses to your glorious, untamed and barbaric cities you Horde scum!
I would also like to point out that the usual activities on a Thursday are NOT Dol planned events. Coppersocket has been running his RBG team for months (long before he joined Dol) and they normally go on a rampage somewhere in Azeroth after they are done as a wind down. These are not Dol rbgs, it's just some Dol members are involved in the RBGs.

I think it's more to do with generalisation. While [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] might sit in stealth for hours spying on RP to then log their Hordie to come gank, that doesn't mean the guild's entire ethos is to gank RPers. In fact, I'm not certain anyone has ever said this, and I'm still confused as to where this all came from with regards to Copper's post, seeing as this subject has been dead for some time.

Even if there's no rule against it, systematic disruption of RP through WPVP is generally seen as a bit of a no no on Defias. Even if I myself believe that any person is in his own full right to be an asshole, they still are one.

Re: Diary of Coppersocket
Sure I agree with like ganking RP events is bad, it is a dick thing for one RPer to do to an other but is that what we are talking about? Running around ooc corpse camping others ooc is fine imo.
If you put someone down you should step on them and keep them down. If we think of PvP as an E-sport or w/e isnt that sensible? You knock someone down in boxing you dont let them cruse to the end of the round, you go for the win. Even if you dont think of it in that way, if someone tries to gank you in the world and you put them down and keep them down then next time they will think twice about fucking with you.
There is a reason the horde fear the Sieg after all. You see him rollin' you get the hell out of there and let him do whatever he is doing.

Well, I am sure it's OK for Lexgrad to spend a night sleeping in a tent. Wouldn't that be a corpse camping?

What? During my time on horde, Sieg was laughing stock. It feels like he has 90% of his keybinds bound to vanish.
And yes, contrary to Coppersocket's claim in the post, a certain group of people (who incidentally all happen to be in the DOL, ain't that funny? (see I can play that game too)) are a common grievance to the horde because of persistent disruption of RP events, ressing and throwing themselves repeatedly at RPers to try and kill a few lowbies before dying. Again, it's a PVP server. They're in their right to. But being in your right to pull dick moves doesn't make you any less of an asshole when you excercise that right.

Re: Diary of Coppersocket
Well as I say that is a dick move. One thing to hunt RPers on the timesink isle or something, another to do that. Lexadin does not approve of that DoL! (Or group of up to 10 DoL members who are not affiliated with the DoL during these instances)

I am still failing to see what Siegmund has got to do with any of this conversation.
Just seems like he was brought into the conversation pointlessly because somebody had an axe to grind.

I have nothing against Siegmund, though apparently I'm on his "list". Lord knows why, but that now means I'm subject to this sort of thing should I ever happen to go AFK in a contested area.

I would've much rather had him calmly and politely explain to me what misdeed I had carried out and allow me a chance to rectify the situation, but here we are. Oh well!

That Coppersocket denies the idea that they're going after people while AFK, when in fact it's something they do.

Last I checked, Siegmund was in DoL on Shieldmaiden, thus making him entirely relevant to a post about DoL.

Why the hell wouldn't you kill afk players in contested areas? its kinda that point of the pvp ruleset...
Or why would people even complain about being killed while afk in a contested area? if you don't want to risk a 2 min corpse-run... log out. >.>

Because whenever Siegmund leaves stealth, a kitten dies. That's why he spends 90% of his time every day in stealth following RPers around. He doesn't have a choice in the matter

Re: Diary of Coppersocket
Hello, I am Siegmund and I have serious problems.
That is why I went to visit a therapist becouse I stalk people's characters an unhealthy amount and kill them while they're AFK on a daily basis. I even have a list and a certain someone *cough* Adry *Cough* is on it. Some even say that I'm not very good at subtlety, but few people are in the world *cough* Adry *Cough*.
Sadly enough I have been diagonosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. I'm receiving treatment as we speak and hope to recover in the comming days.
My therapist sugested I go apologize to the people i've harmed so much and stalked so long and ganked to the brink of rage and... also that one person I killed once who was AFK in Duskwood, but I got a fan club for that so I guess I did something right, yet my therapist says they are probably a few fries short of a happy meal for praising a criminal such as me.
And when people on the street will be asking "Hoodaah hell is that?" when i come out of the insane asylum it will be an obvious answer. A troll.
Before I go back to solitude i link here some sites which helped me, kindly sent via PM. I'm sure they will be usefull to not just me but many others. Especially those addicted to Elven RolePlay.

P.S. Don't let elves near your pandas.
P.P.S. Stay away from crazy cat ladies.

Dear Siegmund,
I'm glad to hear that you've taken the first step to recovery. I hope you're not taking it too hard on yourself. Allow me a moment to explain the societal influences that have lead directly to this.
Using our sociological imagination, we can see that you (as one of many) cannot be held responsible for your own actions, as they are merely by-products of socialisation. Here is a diagram outlining the effect of the social institutions on the individual, in this case the individual is you.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
As you can see, the socialisation of the institutions has an overbearing effect on the individual, asserting norms and values. You may see this as a good or bad thing depending on sociological perspective. A functionalist would say that this helps you reach a consensus with your peers, while a conflict theorist would assert that you are being oppressed by the bourgeoisie. In either case, one is not a free agent.
