[A] The Underforge; Haven for a Recurring Underworld Gathering [25/1/2013 - 26/1/2013]

Posting on request of Skarain; credit goes to him for the conceptualization and organization of this event. Additionally, the credit for the conceptualization and organization of the Underforge and all its lore goes to "The Three Hammers" and its organizers.

Event Details:

Information: Gathering of unlawful individuals and groups.
OOC Location: Blackrock Mountain, an area in non-instanced Lower Blackrock Spire used to represent The Underforge.
IC Location: The Underforge
Date: Friday the 25th to Saturday the 26th of January, 2013
Time: 20:00 PM server time.

The Initiative:
The idea is to offer a two-evening long gathering every second weekend of all unlawful individuals and groups in a haven where they would not be under the constant threat of their enemies; a place where all role-players on the wrong side of the law can role-play with like-minded individuals in a interesting place.

- The Underworld Haven:
After planning, the Underforge has been chosen as a suitable server-lore haven to house this gathering and offer the opportunity for this event to occur. The credit of the creation and conceptualization of this lovely, enthralling place goes to "The Three Hammers" and its organizers, where they were very benevolent to offer us this haven to role-play within.

So what is the Underforge?

But why the Underforge?
The very nature of the Underforge causes it to be perfect for this gathering; a place where crime is the rule with no lawful party to bicker at any individual or group; it is a lethal forgotten sub-level of Ironforge where even the law fears to reach. Additionally, the lore revolving around it enables enough freedom for much role-play possibilities and potential to occur but that freedom is kept in check by the Shadow's Hammer; the organization which can be considered to be at the top of the food chain, which ensures the Underforge remains how it is supposed to be. And bare in mind; the Underforge is dominated by the dwarves and not a mixed populace.

So where is the Underforge?
Though not represented in-game, several locations are sometimes used to represent parts of the large Underforge, which is to be located in the forgotten, deepest and darkest bowels of Ironforge. Such in-game areas used in the past include the Forlorn Cavern in Ironforge, but for this specific recurring event we have so far agreed to use an area within Blackrock Mountain; a part of the non-instanced Lower Blackrock Spire.. Again, the Underforge is large and we use in-game locations that would represent only parts of it, and not its entirety.

So based on what premise will we be gathering?
Within the Underforge lies its market; a black market. We are assuming that the two days we are gathering on are the busiest black market days; where all thugs, criminals and cultists are wondering abundantly around the Underforge looking to stock up on their goods, trade occurring between individuals and groups, or seeking connections or any personal reason on this two busy evenings. Within this premise, casual role-play in addition to planned role-play would occur.

We have many ideas, but for this initial gathering we are deciding to start with simplicity to see the interest and how everything proceed and thus beginning with simply these two busy nights to lure people into this gathering should they be interested.
Trade within this market can occur between individuals or groups; so there is no necessity for official merchants, people can go around interacting with others for whatever reason they wish - and bare in mind, trade doesn't always mean the trade of goods.

Important Notice:
We would ask all participants to respect the lore of the Underforge and the effort "The Three Hammers" put into creating it - it is still a part of their role-play. They have been generous to offer us this haven to role-play within to use it to enchant our role-play, not abuse it. Additionally, the very nature of the Underforge allows for this gathering to occur.
Much role-play can be generated, but we do not seek to change or disregard the Underforge's lore, only to role-play within it.

We hope to see many of you there; if one is unable to attend on the first evening, perhaps they can attend on the second!

Also the back entrance to BRS, no mobs in there and with a lovely Dwarven design and brutish decoration. Quite fitting for a band of scoundrels, I'd say.

Thanks for Althalos for posting this. More ideas and polished posters will appear over time. Those who intend of coming, i recommend to consider if your character got anything to sell, search or seek.
Also Cid, the area in front of BRD is good, but a bit to open in my taste. I'd prefer to have the event in a more 'complex' place, thus the plans using Angor.

Blackblood Corporation will be showing up to market some of our more "Grey area" goods

Wasn't thinking of the area in front of BRD. There is an opening near the LBRS entrance that you can use to get "behind" the instanceportal. Totally legal and not gamebreaking, and we have proper dwarven ground to stand upon.

The area Cìd describes is pretty perfect for it to be honest.

Ohohoo... I'm looking forward to this! Hope I can attend (And remember it).. Arenai woulda loved it, sadly she is uh.. Gone for alittle... Anyway, I'll be sure to come on Keilah.

We, the sovereign Dwarven nation of Khaz Modan, approve and support this, however, if the Angor fortress is to be used this Friday then Houston, we have a problem since we have an event on our own which revolves around the Angor Fortress, nothing related with Underforge though.

We're using the uninstanced LBRS though

Plans using Angor were scrapped, so you do not need to worry about that.

Post updated with the new information regarding location, and time is confirmed; so indeed Gilran, time remains the same at 20:00 PM server time.
