Re: Mists of Pandaria
Exploring the Jade Forest felt pretty damn adventurous to me.

Well, to each his own, Flo.
I prefer Zelda over Elder Scrolls: an open world, but not too open, and always with a sense of purpose and direction.

Cata was good cept the final patch. Rest was really nice. Cept Uldum.
But yeah, I'd agree with Flo in the sense that there is no real sense of adventure. But most of the problems WoW comes across is due to the fact that it's an MMO, plus they're writing the story by populist opinion instead of actually writing a story.
Which brings me to agree with Thelos. Fuck it, give me Warcraft 4, wipe the slate clean and do a good story. Though considering Starcraft 2's story, I'm not sure it'd be such a good idea either.

Starcraft 2 had great moments. It was just anti-climatic.

A turd has great moments. Ora great moment.
Namely the moment it comes out.
And maybe, maybe, the moment you flush it.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
Actually, can someone answer me this lorebit question.
What I didnt know was that the dark heart of pandaland scenario was in the Vale of the Eternal Blossoms.
How are these goblins allowed to dig in such a holy place with healing powers in what not for such an evil artifact? You'd think that some of the pandas would go apeshit over the former alone. Or did they like get a permit for it?

Because the Golden Lotus are a bunch of pussies and the Shado-pan were busy.
There's some repurcussions, but no real reason as to why the Shado-pan and the Golden Lotus allowed the Horde to dig there in the first place. It's a handwave, a slight oversight, but nothing too mayor, I think. It did have the mayor impact on my character in the way that he lost faith in the Shado-pan and decided to throw his lot in with the Alliance, though. If it's any reconcilliation to you, my character did go apeshit over it, so consider that plothole filled, at least where server-lore is concerned (for what it's worth)
That just goes to show you can make good role-play even out of the stankiest of plot holes.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
Guess everyone was too busy being freaked out by the mogu, the thunder king, the sha and all that other stuff. Though i think there is conversation in game between the shado pan and the horde in the Shire of the Two moons with that Sunwalker, Dezco is his name i think. Here is the video

But by the strength of his convictions! (which isn't that much where the game's concerned)

Re: Mists of Pandaria
So no speculation about this thing yet?
Could it finally be...The Dance Studio?!1 If not, I'm just betting for some bore-worthy PvE/PvP changes or some techincal stuff in general. New player models would naturally be high on my list, but I guess that doesn't validate for being a "cool impact".MMO Championl wrote:● The big unannounced feature will have a cool impact on the game and is something they have been talking about for a long time. Patch 5.4 should be on the PTR fairly soon, so we will know what it is soon!

Re: Mists of Pandaria
Only thing I can think of are new player models, which are what I'm hoping for. But knowing Blizzard that will very likely not be the case, and indeed just some boring technical stuff..

Would be nice! But Blizzard wouldn't add that, as well.. Only the RPers would benefit that, I think. And they care little for that!

Re: Mists of Pandaria
I'd put (a reasonable amount of) gold on the new feature being a 'level-scaling' feature that allows people to do low-level heroics and raids at an appropriate difficulty, along with a few vanity rewards and VP thrown our way to make it worthwhile.
It makes a certain amount of sense from Blizzard's point of view - old content you haven't done recently/at all is almost as good as new content, and gear-scaling is already a thing in RBGs and Challenge Modes.

It could be this but considering how dated some of the mechanics would be compared to how something like threat management works today, I'd figure it would still be a bit of a massive project, too massive for Blizz. Or even if they did it, it would probably not function fully because of just those reasons.
