Re: Mists of Pandaria
- We are reverting Cyclone having shared diminishing returns with other forms of crowd control. While we are keeping the cooldown of Cyclone cast by Feral druids in order to make Predatory Swiftness CC less dominant, we are lowering the cooldown to 20 sec from 30 sec.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
If you played a Holy paladin and found your Holy Shock had a longer cooldown, and found Word of Glory had been replaced with (making this up) "Phrase of Glory" with a 2.5 sec cast time, and found that Devotion Aura no longer prevented player Silence, you might find yourself a little disoriented. Those are the kinds of changes we think would be necessary to allow interrupts to sufficiently serve as a counter to healing at this point in time.
While it might seem impossible to the forum-posting contingent of our player base, we lose more players to frustration at constant class design changes than we do to perceived balance problems. We have to keep that in mind when considering any changes, even those that are ultimately better for the game in the long run.

They should've thought of that before they tried inventing new ones. Instead they go all:

If "Phrase of Glory" get's a cast time, then what the hell am I supposed to waste my holy power on, Light of Dawn?

The exact point of reverting the removal of blanket CS is that classes like Paladins don't even have to cast anyways. Or if they do, they can just pop that silence immunity shit and be safe from interrupts anyways.

Cast like that instant hot and channeled spells that you don't even have to sit completely through?

Now that is a good retort, which I should've thought of as well when it came to the faulty designed Warrior class and its nerfing...

Well, he is kind of right... Renew is so very shit it is semi not even worth keybinding, penance is still interruptable, quite easily even, judging from my experience as a rogue ^^" So yeah, priests do have to cast to do any kind of proper healing (you have to maintain penance for actual proper healing most of the time anyway), which is kind of unfair in comparison to paladins that can bounce around and spam instants and do epic healing AND hardly consume any mana. Priests are overall in a very frustrating state compared to holy paladins and resto shamans.

People shouldn't play priests as pvp healers anyway.
Roll a real class, like resto druid.

Re: Mists of Pandaria
Holy Shock is the only reliable heal, it takes 18 second sto build up the next reliable heal. The third reliable heal is talented and 3 judgements away.
Holy light is possibly usefull if you get the proc, same for divine light, but only if nothing is targetting you.
Blinding Light is practically melee range, if bubble is required, then 9 out of 10 times there's a priest to dispell it.
Devotion Aura is 2 heals you really need on a flag carrier, nothing else.
Edit:
Resto druids, are you made?
Shaman is where it's at

If you only play when there's AV you're no experienced enough to know what you're talking about. 9 out of 10 times there's a priest to dispell it? Priests aren't even brought to arena right now because they're so shit.

I only play AV because the other bg's have a higher fail ration, experience from playing them.
And if arena's are the standard we're working with that my input must be worthless since I don't do them.

Arena is where class balance is the most visible.
Besides, nobody cares about BGs.

Always thought Arena was more about class comp instead of class balance.

Judgement? You really shouldn't be going with Selfless Healer, Sacred Shield is a lot better. And on the topic of it being the third instant, please don't say you're not using Holy Prism in PvP.
And you should hardly ever be using Holy Light in PvP, stick to Divine Light during procs and use other heals at other times.
If there's someone ranged attacking you and you want to get off a Blinding Light then just freedom and sprint over to them. A Priest dispells it? Rarely matters, throw out a repentance or HoJ.
Devotion Aura is usually not needed, and to be saved for situations where you really need that extra push. It's usually enough.
Just get the Beacon of Light glyph and switch it around as you do Flash Light / Divine Light (when procced) and you'll get a shitload of Holy Power to spend on WoG where you need it. Along with the Divine Purpose talent this gets even better, I've often gotten 3-5 procs in a row.
Need to get off a few casts? You've 3 kinds of CC, and if you're fighting a DK you can use your racial to cover it up.
It's also very simple to fakecast as those spells that we do need to cast have very short cast times.
Or you can simply Speed of Light away in a freedom around a corner, we've a load of ways to escape.
A bubble nearly each minute, Devotion Aura on a 3 min cd, Divine Protection, 3 CCs, an interrupt, freedom + sprint, short casts, 3 powerful instants and so on. As a Holy Paladin myself I can safely say that we live in luxury, there's a reason why I dumped my Priest for this class (Aside from it being more like what Disc Priest was in Cata than Disc Priest itself is today).
