And I "ERP". I'm honest with it, I don't care if people ERP or not. That's their business. But I do care when people try to smash it, since that's ridicalous.
As for IC relationships. I respect the other half, if they want erp, they can get that. If they prefer to "claim they were intimate" they can get that. I do not care eitherway, roleplay is roleplay. What I do with it is up to me.

Looking at my WotLK box WoW is a 12+ therefore full blown ERP or whatever you call it is out of line in open channels like /e.

Do it a party, do it in MSN, seriously I'm not saying don't do it if you want to but in the public, which in the game is anywhere, don't do it.

As for IC relationships, character development doesn't need you to learn your characters sucking techniques...You with your IC partner can easily get intimate without it. For example me and Sai might whisper eachother "Hey, we're so wrecking this room tonight with endless bonking!!" and have a laugh about it OOC whilst maintaining the games appropriate rating. Besides, isn't there rules about this kind of thing that should make it quite clear it's wrong?

I might as well not RP all of the things me and my guild have done in the Wetlands or Loch Modan, because I can just imagine all of those things in my off-time in my head. All we have to do is agree that we've run in, waltzed over all of the dwarves, and got out unscathed. By some of the logic I've seen in this thread, I could apparently might as well just do that. In fact, at that rate, I might as well not RP at all.

As someone previously mentioned, there are regulations about this kind of behavior. In addition, it's a given that there will be violence in this game, which is why the ESRB have marked it as 12+, but sexual content is not included in that rating. Thus the regulations regarding this subject.

And all the blood and gore is gone aswell. Why? They want more people to pay for the game, more players. They made it underaged. But how much do they care? D:

In our first report our inital investigation begins in Goldshire, Argent Dawn server. Be warned some of what you will see is explicit. Here's Pierce Hansen.

DISCLAIMER: Note that non of our reports are staged, with our reporter responding in an in-character attitude, as per the rules & guidelines of the roleplaying realms.

We've always been aware that the men we set up and catch have poor english skills. But when we set up our initial post in Goldshire, Elwynn Forest the first man who arrives has us expecially suprised with his good english skills.

Our first ERPer, for the sake of these forums refered too as 'Subject1' thinks that he is been taken to the local Skinning and Leatherworking house to engage in sexually, explicit, emoting with who who thinks is a Level 1 Human Female Rogue. What Subject1 doesn't know is that he's been chatting with a Level 80 Priest from the Defias Brotherhood server, a player who goes into /say and /1 chats, normally in Goldshire or Stormwind City, set up Level 1 alts and pretend to be interested in a cyb0ring session.



Subject1 takes the decoy into a corner of the house and gets close to the decoy. He expresses his displeasure of emoting out this ERP in a public /emote and instead ops to do so in /party or /whisper. He makes his intentions known to the decoy through these methods, asking the decoy "How about I give that little one some good 'ramming' and if anybody else would like to join in".

It's time for me to have a chat with him.



My arrival clearly phases him, as Subject1 decides to respond in-character, hoping or assuming we are not aware of his intentions there. He becomes agressive and upon asking his attention Subject1 requests myself to leave the building.



After repeated pressure, he gives no answer and instead becomes more threatening and aggressive, eventually using vulgarities.





As he continues to get even more aggressive, it's time to reveal our intentions and reasons for been there.



For the sake my own, and the decoy's safety we decide to leave. According to the World of Warcraft rules and guidelines, language that is deemed pornographic or makes inappropriate reference to the human atonamy or bodily functions is against the rules of the game.

You're about to meet our second ERPer (Titled Subject2), similarly a low level Human character however unlike his predecesor he would appear to be We're on high-alert as the next potentional ERPer makes her intentions known to our decoy. She makes contact with our decoy via /whisper tells and begins to flirt. Eventually our decoy is asked if she would engage in ERP with Subject2 to which he/she agrees. The decoy suggests the house we previously used.

More on this report after this short break.

In regards to the already mentioned gore, why not report that just as well then? I've seen some pretty intense gore RP on this server, like with the trolls for example, or even some orcs. Thing is, there ain't spit you can report if you do it in party. As I said, I don't care what people do as long as they do it in private.
