Scholar.google.com and just looking at abstracts hardly counts as hard work.

Sadly Scholar.google, isn't the best reference checker, but its a damned handy to begin a literary study when you don't have the slightest indication where to start Razz

Got home and decided to read a book, but I gave up after a page of fuzzy colour around the words that was just too distracting. My optician insists my eyes are fine (they're fucked), but I really think this is getting worse. This is why I can't fucking read a book <_<

Have you tried a pair of glasses, Raenmar?
The optic-people told me I didn't need glasses either, but then I tried out a pair with +1,5 strength, and it made my life a looot easier. Now I can read stuff and be on the computer without getting a migraine after an hour. Very Happy

Bring a book to a store where they have cheap glasses and just try on various strengths (as I don't know if you need + or -, I'll leave that up to you. Wink ) you'll notice right away if it gets better or not. Smile Good luck!

And for my own little rant of the day, I've had a friend over allll bloody day, so I've not had a chance to write. -.-' Bloody bastard keeps distracting me!

Yeah, I've had glasses all my life. Used to be able to read without them, now it's hard even with them.

I'm supposed to wear either them or contacts all the time, but the way my glasses are now, I just can't. I can hardly even see the whiteboard anymore, despite my vision in one eye being really good (a lot better than most peoples') a few years ago. Got my lens prescription and size changed a couple of weeks ago, and it helped a hell of a lot. But it's already back to how it was: blurry when I look at something at any sort of distance.

I did ask the optician last time and he said my sight is just getting worse due to age, took a lot of effort to convince him I needed a new prescription the first time :/

Raenmar, around sixteen I had to have my glasses adjusted to a stronger perscription. The same could be said for you, don't worry too much about it though.

been veeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrryy sick since sunday. Dunno if it's like fever or cold or flu or whatever da faq this is. I'm shivering like hell, coughing all day, temperature going from too hot to freezing cold wayyy too fast and mega headache.

Gotta get it to fuck off before R&G week next monday. Doctor gave me prescription for anti-biotics that make me can't drink, not what you want on R&G week.

Might have to go back tomorrow and ask for like anti-biotics that I can drink while taking (yes these are a thing). If not then I gotta rely on the old immune system to get me better, and if that doesn't work I won't be able to drink R&G week, and I will be

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MAD if that happens.

<------see avatar for example of how mad I will be

I have that too. Sad It started Friday evening with just a really bad sore throat and horrible coughing and chest congestion. Then the fevers started, back and forth between hot and cold and just feeling horribly weak. My landlady wouldn't let me come downstairs to switch my laundry around because it was exhausting me.

It's awful. Coughing really badly and getting headaches from it too.

I have eye tests every 6 months to a year. But the problem is, I've always been able to read down to the bottom line on the chart. I still can, it's just harder. Even being able to read the chart, trees and faces look blurry. But I can read the bottom line, so it's not a measurable change.

Meh. School nurse told me this week that she checked and I probably won't be allocated a therapist until March. If I've had depression for all this time it doesn't seem much to wait but I just want to be diagnosed or told I don't have it so I can sort my shit out.

So first stuck in a train, now it turned back to go back to Apeldoorn. A day off it is, I guess.

Although agreeing with this statement, prorails should be the one accused, not NS.

Fo real though, they should replace everyone working ar prorail, they're more incompetent than the overpayed bankers that have led to the nationalisation of two of our banks.

Well, I slightly agree with you there.

The problem isn't Just Pro-rail, Neither is it just NS.

Mostly the problem is that the two of them don't work together. Additionally, the commercialisation of the NS, which lead to forced split of the railway management and the train company, I.e: turning NS into Both NS and Pro-rail. (because otherwise its unfair competition for other transportation companies)

As on machinist told me:

Before the split, if one of the Changes along the track was frozen, or jammed. the train could stop, the machinist could step out, and change it manually. Report it, and you'd have a 3 minute delay. and potentially a 3 minute delay for the train behind it.

Now, the train has to go back to the previous station. contact Pro-rail, who have to send a guy to the malfunctioning change, fix it, and then send the train out again.

This creates a 30 minute delay on every train for the next hour that are moving on that track. as well as delays on other trains because the spot in the station is taken, which delays all other incoming trains.

But guys!

But guys!

De-nationalising: Increases Competition, which decreases prices for consumers!

Bullshit, it increases profits. It does nothing for us consumers.
