We got a new roomie in our house, recently.

Got home today, head to the bathroom and turns out she'd left her hair straightener set to max and plugged into the wall before going out. She tends to do shit like that often, leaves lights on all of the time.

It's now after 1 AM, she just got home and all of a sudden, the smell of pot is filling my room. We live in a non-smoking house. I decide to skip to the bathroom before bed...it's 1 FUCKING AM and she's taking ANOTHER goddamn shower!

. (he's staying in a village in Indonesia atm). His usual vet wasn't available.

I remember when a vet gave one of our kittens a worming tablet that was for a kitten twice the weight. We threatened a law suit and now that vet treats our animals fast, with absolute care and check ups for free.

Sure, you've gotta tolerate some weird stuff from your roomies, but there are limits. Like burning down the house, making you test positive for drugs you didn't enjoy...

Make a list with times and dates and the percieved offenses, and confront landlord/whatever you have with it when it's sufficiently long to force the person to straighten up or move out.

Yeah, I've already notified our landlady about it. This is the samr girl who lied to my face, saying she couldn't find her ID and asking if I'd buy her booze. Which is bulllshit, since I already knew she's 18 (legal age to buy booze and cigarettes here is 19). So if I'd got caught or something happened to her, the cops check liquor store footage and I'd be screwed big time.

The thing you've really got to focus on is whether she is good looking or not. If she isn't, then you need to get rid of her. If she is, then you just have to take a step back and accept the consiquences. Because good looking women deserve more chances.

Hmmm.... that just leaves being a douchebag back in more subtle ways so that you won't get caught, but the new roomie will feel unwelcome, unwanted and unsuccessful in life and move out or enter a depression.

Well, or being an omnipresent nice-guy and avert disaster after disaster, get incredibly tired and angry about your situation, never recieving thanks for being such a good person.

Or find a middle ground, fighting only the important fights, letting less important matters slide.

A little background first: I have 12 siblings, only 3 of which share the same mother as I do. Rest are half-siblings on my father's side. 2 of my mom's kids have been prevented from seeing me (I live with my father ,they live with my mother) for 2 years because my mom refuses to let them near my dad. Today I called my mother to try to get a reason for why they couldn't see our dad, and she was pretty much all "refuse to help" mode. She asked if my youngest sister could say hi to me as she was eagerly begging to do that in the background while talking to my mom. I agreed to.

She told me that because she couldn't see me, she found herself a new big brother at school. A new big brother. I know she didn't mean to, but what my brain heard was "You've been replaced because you've been unable to be there for her." She's 9 years old.

I can think of very few moments where I've felt so dead inside as I do right now.

Too hollow to even rage about it.
