I Never Knew! - Lore Facts

I love threads like these simply because when you never knew something, chances are many didn't! Basically it's just if you find a fun fact or weird thing post it here! For example:

I never knew the Alliance voted for races that applied to join. Entirely democratic.

I also never knew that each faction had a National Anthem.

I never realised at lights hope it wasnt just Mograine who saw the ghosts of his family. Thassarian saw his father and other dks saw other relatives. It doesnt come through well in the Q

I never knew Azshara is the most 'powerful' Azerothian.
I never knew Troll's existed before the Titan's reshaped Azeroth.
I never knew Cenarius was the son of Ysera and Malorne.
I never knew Netherwing, Twilight and Chromatic dragonflights were all created by the Black dragonflight.

War of the Ancients by Richard Knaak. I don't believe it was ever changed, though.

Elune was his real mother, but Ysera adoptive.

It's been known even before Knaak, was never changed as you said aye.

I never knew that Night Elves referred to their mates as Husband/Wife.

Funny you should say that, I only completed the quest line from Molten Front two nights ago when you visit Fandral Staghelm's son's grave and his widow refers to him as her husband, which I realised that then too. So I guess I also never knew that until then :p

But why? They were an insanely civilized race, its only fitting they invent the concept! Although I too cringe in Wolfheart when Tyrande says, "My husband."

I never knew Magatha Grimtotem wrote to Garrosh claiming a great victory and telling him to send support to her in Thunder Bluff.

I also never knew, "Taurahe" is pronounced Tore-ah-hey.

I recently found out that just like there are 3 generations of Death Knights, there are two generations of liches who are paralel with the Death Knights. (First generation liches were Ner'zhul's most powerful Shamans, Warlocks and other spellcasters who were transformed to Liches as a punishment, while Second Generation liches were Necromancers in the Cult of the Damned who were ascended into Lichhood as a reward)

Grrrrr I hate the way people understand DKs when they use Generations. Didnt realise Scourge Liches were different however.
