Horde RP in MoP (spoiler alert)

I tend to avoid realm forums...

They could do with a stronger presence of the RP community.

I really like Kozugore's idea of having intra-guild communities built loosely around the two camps. That way you have the depth of already established characters with all their beliefs and ideologies mixed in with all the political fun. And more importantly, connections to other characters who might be on the other camp. Oh the drama!

Having an orcish inquisition guild made up out of alts etc. sounds like a lot of fun as well, but might suffer from two problems.

1) Other guilds would need to recognize the power and influence this inquisition has. It's no fun having an inquisition only to see them getting their teeth bashed in because nobody fears them.

2) It runs the risk of having highly two-dimensional characters. "WARGARBL, GARROSH HELLSCREAM, WAAARGH." Isn't a very compelling argument from a young upstart your own character doesn't know very well, or at all. Which might add a lot of fun (fanatics, heyo!) but could lead to a lot of frustration Westborough Baptist Church style. Of course, if that's what the inquisition is shooting for, all the more fun!

See, fanaticism is what is going on, Hellscream is taking out his political enemies, one by one. My only worry would when the Kor'Kron roll up, people go, "ERMEGURD LOL WE R MOAR THAN U SO FU GARROSH!" When in reality say my own guild represents a part of the Tauren community, but we aren't every tauren, we'd be flattened by an Orgrimmar incursion.

This would be my only concern too. I say; let's go and see what happens. The initiative can always be shut down if poeple are not willing to play along, or don't find it an interesting addition to their current role plays.

I guess it depends on what you want the Kor'kron to feel like. If they're supposed to be a Gestapo or KGB, a little more subtlety could possibly be expected (emphasis on -could-). These agencies were notorious for turning people against eachother to the point where in communist Russia children would 'rat out' their own parents. Fanaticism might give way for a little more subtlety until it's time to actually razzia on someone.

Or they could feel more like the heavy handed political hoodlums employed by the nazis and even the ancient Romans, taking to the streets to beat up anyone who doesn't share their political views. In there can't be enough fanaticism. Forget subtlety!

Then again, maybe I'm over thinking this stuff way too much. I do that sometimes.

Considering we're talking about Garrosh I'm certain it's safe to say he won't be subtle about it. He'll want opposers to see their friends being beaten and removed.

He does. He's subtle at first, then makes it.. pretty obvious in Tides of War.

So, there is a Kor'kron Themed guild now.

Anyone intend to stick some alts in it to play ORCISH INQUISITION?
