Street Poetry

The following short poem can be found on various boards, street corners and doors throughout Stormwind. The nonsensical, childish text is written in a dark ink, glittering with both green and purple highlights to it's pitch black. The poems are quickly removed, but always seem to be back by the next morning. Someone must be monitoring them closely.




The blue city sleeps , unaware of the danger
As mother midnight herself yields to something stranger

Masters ancient resurface, they have sowed, now they reap
Sanity flees as the gods of nightmares lull us softly into sleep

Run lambs, run! For our shepherds return!
Our purpose is, as it always was, to watch the world burn

( Me and a mate got into Lovecraftian horror and Old Gods some years ago, and ended up writing some fan "art". This short one is one of mine, that I found while copying the contents of my old PC over to the new one. Still kinda liking it despite weird rythms and all, and thought I might as well share it. No immediate plans to follow it up in-game, but who knows. I don't, for one. )

You should follow this up in game. This is interesting. Oh, and the poem is great.

I agree implement this into the game, this could be the quiet before the storm, the unheeded warning if you will.

Possibly lead to some interesting RP.
