At least EA fits with Activision / Blizzard fairly good. I'd rather have that than EA buying out ZeniMax (incl. Bethesda Softworks) for example. EA and Activision / Blizzard both seem to focus on easily accessable gameplay, though EA's more competetive features might be sneaking into WoW sooner or later though perhaps that is a good thing too.

And I'm going to laugh my ass off if ZeniMax is willing to do a better offer than EA, though that is unlikely. I'd sure like some of ZeniMax's mindset injected into Blizzard staff, especially for us RP'ers.

And no one thinks it might be a powerhouse from a fully different aspect that buys the package. Vivendi in general are not gaming, so it might be another beast that buys it that make's EA look small.

If EA buys it the only difference I can see is the next CoD game not being on Steam.

The trailer sets that out to be some disturbing horror game, when it's an arcadey gun-racing game.
Prefer those sorta games to be more fun in atmosphere.

Awsum trailer. I've never played any XCOM games myself, but have always been quite interested in trying 'em. But, eh, cause of some odd/bad reason I can't see myself trying out such "dated" games anymore...which is why it's a good thing this one's coming out!

Vented my thoughts about this MMO some page(s) back, but in a nutshell; Modern day setting, every Occult and Conspiracy theory related thing is real. Three factions, standard hotkey set-up with slight alterations.
The combat and character animation is a tad uninspired/downright dull, questing system (not the quests) is somewhat annoying, story is good (tOR-ish but more mature) and the world they created is great. Questing is dotted with the occasional riddle or puzzle which, while often easy, actually challenge you to think for yourself - instead of the usual handholding which is so prevalent in MMOs today.

If you're giving it a go and happen to tire of it early, seek out one of the three Investigation quests in Kingsmouth at the very least. They were pretty fun.

We won, but it took forever, with me and MisterMaf doing 90% of the work. Then the other team's Tank says "bad game" despite almost winning on like 4 occasions and getting fed 3:1 by half our team.
