I was watching the Daily Show report on Queen Elizabeth's diamond jubilee. First, the fly-by was cancelled by the Royal Navy, then they showed some fireworks being launched from Tower Bridge.

I've been to France on the 14th of July, Bastille Day. THEY HAD MORE THAN ONE FLY-BY AND IMPRESSIVE FIREWORKS.

The Queen's diamond jubilee officially marks the moment that France officially became 10 times as awesome as Great Britain.
