My great Nubian/Byzantine Empire is collapsing. For two hundred years, it was kept in check by the system of Seniority Inheritance, all duchies had it and all land passed to the oldest member (King) when the ruler died, that allowed me to redistribute it and keep a balance of power in the realm. Now that there is Empire, those dukes are changing their succession-laws and turning to Primogeniture. The system that kept my empire peaceful....is no more

When trying to unite spain under one king. Remember to revoke claims for Kingdoms of your dukes. So when your glorious king dies at awesome power your Kingdom won't be split into 5 and setting you back to the beggining.

The English King had a massive civil war and a war with France to deal with, so I made use of the moment to claim Cornwall. Getting close to get Kingdom of Brittany now.

I miss a particular system in this game that allows you to make alliances without having to be family of the rulers. Like I want a Celtic League with Ireland, Scotland and Whales, but that's not really possible. (This is why game-designers should all hire me, I would make games better).

Thought I'd be nice to my son and give him some land under my rulership, he declared war, well fine you massive piece of shit, die then!

So, I started a game as my own self created duke of Barcelona. I waited till war broke out between the Christians and Muslims, then invaded my neighbor to gain control over another de jure county belonging to my Duchy.

Did it twice to unite my duchy, then captured a county belonging to the duchy of Aragon (Albarracin). Then, suddenly, the Hammadids declared a Holy war for Barcelona, alright, raised my armies again, all of Christian Spain rallied in my defense and we managed to fight off the Hammadids (captured the Emir in battle mwahahaha).

...So? All fine and dandy? Well, not really. I only had daughters at that point and I needed a son or the ability to change inheritance laws so that a daughter could inherit. The catch? I needed to have none of my vassals hate me (yay for having a muslim vassal) and, well, I had also been excommunicated so I had Christian vassals that hated me too.

Then I suddenly died. It looked so promising

England is locked in a war between the of Godwins and the de Normandies.. I can´t quite exploit it just yet due to not wanting to break truces... Aaand nevermind that. Devon shall be mine.. Fuck excommunicated.

And realised that I was stupid. My kingdom was split due to stupid succession laws! That I couldn't fix.
But at least my hirarchy has Around a third of spain! I can go about making it into spain once we've kicked out the muslims! (and Killed the brother I by mistake turned sunni).

Denmark, France and the de Normandies are fighting for the English throne.. Time to get some counties in the British Isles!

Sorry to disappoint, but France is winning the war hard. The Saxon culture is slowly dying aswel.

I am slowly progressing with my epic struggle to restore the Glorious Roman State as miaphysite nubians. Latin Empire is defeated, and now my eyes are set on the not holy, not roman german Empire. When they are down, I am master of the world!

But will I manage that? With all the internal rivalries and civil wars, my vassals are so torn that I cannot count on anything but my own levies! (Fortunately, they are too torn to rebel).


Most disturbing thing -ever-. My empress, aged 82, who was a homosexual fell in love with her 22 year old relative (great-grand-daughter), who was also homosexual. Fortunately, that 22year old lass controlled a powerful and peaceful province which gave me the edge in a civil war.

I can happily announce that around half of the iberian penisuila is now catholic! And the religion is spreading to the popes happyness!

Oh, and I love it when rebellions are suppressed by an enemy army passing through.

Just make sure all counts/dukes etc are christian and above 16!
And give some churches to the Pope! Will likely make him happy!

I remember my overpowered game with Elective Monarchy. I would make the throne pass to a promising young woman. (below age of 25), marry her to a promising man with high learning. Grant him a church. Make him antipope and topple the real pope. There, 100 relationship with the pope, who is on top the monarch's husband! *cackle*

...it did horrible things to Catholic Moral Authority, but I was taking REVENGE for the damned pope excommunicating me. If pope thinks he can just excommunicate me, I will think that I can just depose him and install my own pope!
