Re: Crusader Kings II!
Tutorial in this is kinda bad.. On the Military one and when I land my troops the tutorial just stops.

Re: Crusader Kings II!
Well, yeah, but you get the idea from the tutorials, despite their bugginess.
Just keep track of the following things, and you'll win almost any battle you come across:
- Your commanders Martial skill
- Your numbers vs. enemys numbers
- Organization/Reinforcements, whatever the green bar is
- Terrain
- Possibly attrition, in central Europe, though, this is rarely an issue.
If it looks like you can't win a battle, don't enter it. I found that the enemy usually stopped at the first region it could besiege if it had no armies to chase.

Anybody knows how to 'motivate' the Pope to call a Crusade on some place? Haven't figured it out yet

Pretend someone holy died there?
Say they're pagans or heathens?
Say he'll get gold?
You can probably not do any of them... But it sounds realistic of me to suggest, who knows, maybe it does work. I never played!

Anyway I never really got into CK2 while I loved the shit out of Victoria 2 I think its also due to the fact that the game is in english and alot of the dynasty related terms I simply do not get.
Lolno.

Do it.
Lorainne wrote:You ought to try Victoria II instead!
I've tried it, however its a totally different way of playing. Victoria II is all about Empire, CK is all about personal dynasties.

xD I wish you could say that to people, "MY SWORD IS MY CLAIM!"

Basically the game is all based on statistics. She'll 'bear' a son randomly every so often based on her fertility, your fertility and a random interval. It's very rare that she won't give you a child.

Lolool.. I tend to get a son, kill my wife, get a wife, get a son, kill my wife.. That way all my children have independent titles/claims on titles..

Things to remember:
-Always have enough money to hire emergency mercenaries.
-Always invade a county that will then lead to a ducal claim, kingdom claim.
-NEVER invade an empire.
-NEVER invade a big kingdom if you are tiny.
-Remember that you have to conquer enough of their land to make them surrender, not just your claim.
-Try to find people already warring, it distracts their attention.
That's all my tips!

Is it possible for Denmark to at all invade/claim Sweden respectively Norway? At all? Due to them apparently having tight relationships in this area of history.

Re: Crusader Kings II!
What's the most evil thing y'all have done on CKII?
I took sadistic delight in killing off three of my daughters and my homosexual first-born son so that the most worthy child could inherit all of my titles.
I also had to burn my nephew at the stake because a pesky bishop demanded it.
Though, I've heard of people inviting a random courtier, assassinating him, and then marrying his beautiful wife. I should try that some time.

I'm enjoying just watching Das24680's Let's Plays way too much.
Probably 'cause he plays something very relative to me. :p
*Edit*
It's rather bothersome how everyone's born the 1st of January. Rather sucks.

My first son Geoffroy died, I hate not having my name continue. (Dad was Geoffroy VI), I had five sons. A new son came along, named him Geoffroy and killed my other sons so he could inherit.
I murdered my children, because of a name.

My wife is conspiring to kill me, according to my Spymaster. But dammit, she's the Child of the Holy Roman Emperor ;_;. I can't just kill her, she's bound to be useful for something, considering who her Father is.
Though she -has- only given me two Daughters, and my Vassals hate me enough to dare to change the succession laws. Sadly my initial Balon Greyjoy-esque Duke of Iceland died at the ripe age of sixty-four, and now I'm playing my wimpy little Court Chaplain of a son.

If you know she plots against you, you can tell her to 'End Plot'. In most cases they will do as you say.

Assuming the plot strength isn't overwhelming, if it is, you'll have to take an alternative approach.
