Yes and no. In pugs I feel one looses right to complain... but never the less any PvE effort, dungeon or raid, is a teamwork. And... well... good players get tired of pulling the bad ones.

Truth is, everyone has their "breaking" point where they get tired of min-maxing everything they have, only to be held back in their progression by players who don't show the same dedication. Anyone who ever held ambitions in a team sport knows this feeling. Now, imagine that your effort you invest to compensate for the slackers in your team yields 0 reward and the next time you play you get an even bigger idiot who isn't worth his weight.

Of course.. -the- solution is a guild doing your content, but on an RP server that may place you in a tough choice between a PvE guild and an RP guild. There are but few who manage to combine both mindsets.

I'd agree with that if pugs didn't give extra rewards and going to the dungeon with a self-made group gave extra rewards instead.

The only rewards a PuG give are 5% extra damage, and the goodiebag for being the needed spec in LFD.
Otherwise you can get a full selfmade group and get all other LFD things by just queing through it. Unless things have changed the last half year.

Setting up a selfmade group is harder when they get VP from pugging it too as most people don't bother looking for others to do it with, they just click "Queue". If however only self made groups gave VP people would be looking after doing it that way, and it'd be easier to get a proper group. As JP also said, not all have their characters in PvE guilds.

Usergroups -> Pick the group you want out off -> Unsubscribe.
Then just join the group you want to be a part of and hope that it doesn't require approval from a group moderator that is no longer active.

Who says that enough of them are interested, online at the same time and that they aren't planning to do/doing something else when you want to run a dungeon at all times? Personally I'm in a 25man raiding guild on my main and it's still quite rare that 4 others are all up for this.
