Hello.

Me and my brother are downloading the game as I type this. We're utter noobs however. In fact, I still don't know what the goals of the games are and how it works. I heard it's a game that works really well, with a so-so community, and something of arenas. Yes that's all.

Oh, and that we have to pick a character, and that's why I am posting here. What character would you advise for a complete noob? It has to be a well-working char but at the same time easy to learn, I guess.

I think, as noob, people will sooner become angry at me than the other way around =D Which I couldn't really care about... Eira recommend me a char =(

Depends what you want to do. Support? Ranged? Tank? Melee? Got to understand you cannot pick all champs from the get-go, you need to win games to gain points to buy champions. There are "free champions" that rotate every week you can play and I think the new rotation is going to start soon unless mistaken.

Ashe tends to be a beginner's choice, aswell as Garen.

I can't play Tryndamere, he's too hard! Sad

I'd recommend a ranged champion to start out with. Someone like Ashe, I think she's fairly easy. Only played her once myself. Razz

I have a low level account sitting about, so I could possibly join you in a couple games, see if I can help out.

Yeah, Sivir's good! That's the one I had Lily playing as, she did good too. :3 Nice balanced ranged champion who packs one hell of a punch once your items are built up.

You'd do better without me tbh. Queueing with me at level 30 has the game try to even the odds, so you get teamed against higher level players. Razz

But that's how I had to play to start with, and now I'm semi-decent. xD

The beta champions that are recommended for new players.

Ashe, Annie, Master Yi, Tryndamere. A few easy (and cheap!) champions.

Great annoyance when I for some reason got me a Ramnus but then realised I can't even play him properly and now he is getting nerfed.

Pffht.

I was drunk when I bought him, I kept reading his name as "Armordildo" so apparently that was good enough reason.
I can't jungle at all ;__;

That's a fantastic reason to buy him. I bought Zilean months ago, never played him to this day. I was like "THAT'S A MAN WITH A CLOCK ON HIS BACK. FUCK YES." I collect clocks irl... Razz

I have Rammus too! Played him once, lost. As I recall, it wasn't me who failed... It was the other lanes! I can only jungle as Nocturne, but I've been thinking of trying new champs in the jungle. Might give Rammus a whirl. (GET IT? WHIRL? LIKE SPINNING?! Oh poo.)

Its true.

I have bad games myself, but I usually do all right. It's not until you get ganked by another lanes champion that you realise the other lanes have been feeding! I usually play with a friend or two though, so I'm laning with someone I trust. And we make sure we compliment each other if we plan on laning together, make a nice setup. :3
