Eh, found this after a little searching. It gets a bit retarded at the end, but damnation the rest is pure damned awesomesauce. Sums up pretty much everything that needs to be said or done, except the wierd ending.

You know how fun it is just to show how OOC RPers can go, how much we can act like normal PvPers on normal PvP realms and only we have the right to feel conscious about our actions.

Shame we don't feel pity for Goons.

By the way, I've just sent a letter to The Lawbringer column on WoW.com, this person is in university I believe learning about law, and has taken a column to discuss about violations to the ToS and stuff, so I sent an E-mail asking if there is any way we can threat blizzard to take action against Goons for violating the ToS -

"Hello there, My name is Jay; I play on an RPing realm Defias Brotherhood - EU, we have a huge problem that emerged last week, the notorious Goon Squad (Goons on DB) transferred here with the intention to destroy the RP community as they did on Sporeggar - EU, they use names that aren't intended for Roleplaying (Against ToS), they spam trade chat (Against ToS) and they intentionally ruin RP events (Against ToS), however, Blizzard does nothing about this no matter how many people petition about it, is there any way that you can force blizzard to do something if its against their own rules, like e.g. (Sounds stupid) 'Unless you take action against these people, I will take blizzard to court.'; Goon Squad have no intention but to destroy our RPing community, here's an extraction of their announcement of transferring:

"-Goon squad isn't a pure raiding guild, despite the past x months happenings. We put the transfer issue up because this realm is dead and we haven't even been able to crash any rp parties for ages because we made everyone transfer, I might just be speaking for myself here but going to an rp realm would be very good, means we could start having some fun again!"

Technically, the problem is that by singling out this entire guild, they already ARE protected by the Terms of Service:

"Harassment occurs when a Forums user targets another individual to cause distress, embarrassment, unwanted attention, or other personal discomfort. Blizzard does not condone harassment in any form. While you may disagree with someone's point of view, personal attacks, or attacks based on a person's race, national origin, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disablement, or other such affiliation are prohibited. If you have a disagreement with someone's point of view, address the subject, not the person. "

This section of the Forums Code of Conduct can easily be applied to in-game behavior as well. Contacting mods and saying, "These people are awful, they harass others, they cause trouble!" isn't going to do anything except mark you as someone who has a grudge. Fine, report them for being OOC in /say and /yell, but that's not enough reason for the GMs to go, "Okay, obviously this whole group of paying customers are absolute trouble-makers, let's hang them all!"

This is persecution and Blizzard has a "Cover Your Ass" policy against it. They are paying customers, who are the GMs to say that Goons is "ruining" an RP event if none of the Goons consider themselves OOC and claim to all be in-character?

I don't want to sound as the Devil's Advocate, but I feel it's important for you to realize that the Goons are protected by the Laws & Regulations Blizzard set down, just as much as we are, sadly.

You may want to have a look at this and then this:

Yes, those are real pretty. But the fact is that Blizzard won't react against an entire group of people. They'll focus on a case-by-case basis and on individuals that harass people.

Let's keep in mind a certain day called Black Friday. Would some of you go as far as to have reported the people who "randomly" showed up and "ruined" that event? It's not a valid argument. If these people are as horrible as some people claim to be, then why haven't they been banned from the game already?

Roleplayers are, unfortunately, a minority compared to the people who actually play the game on a RP server and still follow the rules and guidelines. They post ICly on the realm forums, using alts or not, therefore any accusations that they're not following RP guidelines become moot.

The picture wasn't there initially. They probably put it up to avoid having people link to their forum on the realm forum, since then, it could be reported for...something really nasty obviously.
