[H] Stories by the fire, high above the Plains...
"The Wildmane tribe are a Tauren tribe with a mysterious history. They are reknown for their hunter's fables, which may or may not have a moral."
With such a rich lore and a mythology begging for exploration, the Tauren of any tribe make for wonderful story tellers.
To such an end, I would like to extend you an invitation.
With the Lunar festival in swing and myself trying to generate a little awareness, I think it a wonderful time to share some creative spirit, now this could be just one event, or it may develop into several, but!
The idea is this, anyone may come, come to Thunderbluff and sit about the fire before the tent of Baine and enjoy a little yarn.
Naturally it's Tauren themed and there shall be an intermission (with Tauren food), so come on up!
Even if it's just a level one alt to see if theres a fuss.
come, set your hooves down and listen to our first tale...
Hekache and Amache!
In Thunder Bluff this Friday 9:00pm Sever time!
(Should enough interest come up I'd love to invite others to share thier own creative flair, perhaps turning this into a regular thing!)

Yay! Kumehra likes tales! If it's popular and you hold it more than once, she might bring her own tales.

I'll be there for this one, as it is the first of hopefully many, but if we decide to have this a weekly thing perhaps we should move it to another day.
Friday clashes with the Community Mass's. It would be good to give people the opportunity to roll an alt and have some moocow fun yet I feel some
may be unable to as the Community Mass's are higher up on their priority list (such as I).
Perhaps we can take a leaf out of their book and have a speaker for each one, they can organise it to their liking. For example if a Brave steps forward
he could spin a tale of some story of battle and then everyone could travel to Bloodhoof Village for a spar-type Arena competition in the ring. Next
week it may be some Hunter who has prepared a massive feast. They could organise a hunting party to go and find enough food for the event, organise
druids to gather enough vegetables and herbs and gather others to help with either or go fishing. These are just a few examples but you can see how
each type of character can bring something to this sort of thing that should create diversity in the events and keep them interesting.. hopefully breathing
new life into tauren roleplay.
Edit: Then Ashuan can bring the Ebon Shroud to Mulgore to create a demonstration and show and tell on Necrotic magic and a workshop on how to create
your own ghoul!

Indeed. T'would be unfair and likely stifle interest if we forced people to choose one event over another. I had considered Sundays and wednesdays however, though dependng on this weeks turnout I'll ask in raid chat what day might be preferable to the audience.Helmfrid wrote: I feel some may be unable to as the Community Mass's are higher up on their priority list (such as I).
Yeah! I thought we could have a new speaker weekly, the idea of having others share thier imagination and creativity to oragnise thier own events through this medium would be fantastic indeed!Helmfrid wrote:Perhaps we can take a leaf out of their book and have a speaker for each one, they can organise it to their liking. Edit: I've just recieved a letter from Kurn of the Banner of Bloodhoof, who shall be attending this event with some followers!
I am certainly looking forward to this now...

I would suggest holding it every two weeks to give the latest teller time to organise a suitable story!
Kumehra would most likely tell the story of Mu'sha and An'she, to try and teach the other Tauren at her age that Sunwalkers are nothing like Blood Knights. xD

Sunwalkers have always existed for them (as far as I am aware?) so why would their young be confused about an elven military rank and a tauren tradition? :p
Plus the obvious difference of sun and light.

Re: [H] Stories by the fire, high above the Plains...
Sunwalkers where established near the end of Wrath. There was a little quest chain that started in Dalaran that hinted at it then when Cata hit you could roll one. It was a druid speaking of maintaining balance between An'she and Mu'sha, as the Night Elves worship the Naaru Elune (Mu'sha.. let the Night Elves lash out you know it's true!). He proposes An'she should not be forgotten.

Damn...I wish the Red Blade were not stuck in Northrend on Friday cus then I would come on my orc. Hmm...suppose I could use my last character slot to make a Tauren to come check this thing out Now....whether to go Shaman, or Druid on my new Tauren....
Note to Blizz: Make more character slots!
As for the whole Sunwalker/Blood Knight debate, Blood Knights use the Holy Light. Sunwalkers use the power of the Sun. Sunwalkers are a new force for the Tauren, a way to form a balance within their people who have revered nature and utilised the powers of the moons for quite a while.

WRONG! I already looked it up. So Kumehra could have history.
Change scares people! Particularly the young and naive, who would immediately assume the Blood Elves taught them a bad trick.

The secret is to use a good quality corpse. I kinda want to see a Nigella Lawson necromancy special.

Re: [H] Stories by the fire, high above the Plains...
A reminder this is tonight ladies and gents!
I recieved some whispers asking if indeed other races can attend, sorry for not being clear, yes they can...
All the same, to any undead or Blood elves, do be wary of Tauren mistrust of your respective race!
However it shall not impede our story, and in fact will even be a pleasure to share out Tauren culture.
And if you need more incentive... We're doing free food during intermission, Lunar fesitval and all.
(Food inspiration based from Native american dishes, Potatoes, cornbread and fish/meat, etc)
See you tonight!

I've been looking forward to this all week!
Kumeh doesn't like Blood Elves, for reasons that people who know her will know! I do hope some turn up.

Dammit, you beat me to it... Here's a picture from my own view a little later into the evening.
It was great fun, and thank you to everyone who turned up, I improvised the story that was inspired by the tale of Orpheus, I apologise for the long pauses while I tried to think of the next line and the typos... oh go the typos.
But again, thank guys. We're already working on other event ideas as well as who hosts next weeks Story time. Hope to see you there!
