I keep going through that same opening cutscene, unable to decide on my first character. Possibly going for either a Breton Battlemage, or maybe an Imperial archer; kind of want to avoid Elves... they kind of scare me D:

Do what I did, just pick a race and gender, make them look cool and see which play style you like best!

Two houses bought, three left. This calls for a crimespree of epic proportions, and the help of the Night Mother. Now I just need to find the biggest Imperial stronghold/HQ in Skyrim.

Quick traveling about seems to give a faster result on finding random dragons, I've only happened across the preset roosting ones by foot, while two attacked me smack dabble in the middle of the Mage College and Riften while I was hopping back and fro for quests.

It's also in my experience that bears are deadlier to my horse than a dragon <.>

I don't wanna know where I find a horse (I haven't yet, but I am sure I will). But I did want to know...

You can find human (and other?) companions. But can I get a dog? Like a proper huntsman?

Can get a dog afaik.
I don't know how though as I never play with companions.

I usually find them to be either more annoyance than use (if stealthing and so on) or as in New Vegas you have them clearing all enemies within 500 miles before you see the enemies.

The damn horses too are so annoying too (and barely faster than running)

My marriage completely bugged out. I asked two women to marry me only to see which one would show up. The latter one became the bride, and all went well for the first part of our Riften wedding, until it was my turn to say "I do". I don't know what the shit happened but while my character was saying "I do" everyone but me and the priest vanished from the wedding.

Somehow the wedding went through and I got my ring, but I haven't seen my wife since.
