Snows only good for some elements in ravager, and his silly amount of HP and sentinel setup.

Whenever you start playing 13 it shows you what has happened so far. So unless you couldn't be bothered to read it you have no excuse! XD

It gives you a basic outline of the more recent events. It doesn't remind you of controls, classes and how you used to play it. That's my problem. If I don't play a game for a while, I'll restart just to get to grips with the gameplay again.

It gives you a synopis of like, the last 30 minutes of play. When you hadn't played for six months or more it did NOTHING. Like srsly.Helmfrid wrote:Muzjhath wrote:I'm actually thinking about restarting FF 13 from the start. And, I am dumb. Forgot that I exchanged my FF13 for some GAME storecredit when I bought my Skyward Sword. gonna see if I can borrow a friends copy.

Teehee! I'm a Gamestation person myself. I wasn't happy when GAME bought them out, cause I just knew they'd change the amazing reward card system that Gamestation had. What did they do? They changed it. Used to be every £1 spent, gave you one point, which equalled 1 penny. And you'd randomly get bonus poinst added sometimes with purchases. I bought my Xbox and got like, £20 off with my collected points, and the sale itself gave me plenty more! Now it's more like GAME's reward system. ;_; Get a couple thousand points, get £2 or something off. >.> Dicks.

If I ever buy an xbox360 game I go to tesco's. They tend to sell them cheaper.

I like Asda for that too. But you sometimes get a good deal in Gamestation if you pre-order online, or I just pop in my reward card number and use my points.

... I missed the perfect opportunity to rant.
Still, I honestly couldn't give a toss anymore, completely lost faith in the idea i'll be playing a decent Final Fantasy again any time soon. The moment it was announced that XIII-2 had the same battle system as XIII I dropped even the slightest desire to try it.
This however, I'm very much looking forward to, despite not having touched the Wii in this house since Brawl.

Music by Nobuo Uematsu? Fuckin' check.
Created by Hironobu Sakaguchi, the man that gave us FF and then was booted out after the MMO flopped? Fuckin' check.
Couldn't care less about it potentially being a clone of older Final Fantasy games, I'd still rather play that than the shit they've been coming up with since 11/12 hit the shelves.

I don't get it though. Sure autobattle is there but it isn't a requirement. Sure some people will love it, some others would rage at the idea of being one button chain skill command but then again... Why use it to begin with if you loathe it? The command to manually battle is there too. If you want to step up and use manual combat and the paradigm shift system then go ahead, no one is stopping you use that. Sure one can question the whole idea of placing in an auto battle to which I admit I could also play without but I like to think of it as a choice.
TLDR: I don't understand the fucking fuss over a choice system.

I don't enjoy the paradigm system. It's really as simple as that. So I'm not going to pay for a game that uses it.

Re: The "other game thread"
Ah so your issue is with the paradigm shift, fair enough. To be honest the only problem I had with paradigms was the fact that the game had to watch your character change roles one by one when you first used it in a battle but I hear they sorted that out in 13-2.

Re: The "other game thread"
That was my Paradigm problem too, but I noticed they all switch at the same time in fire emergencies when you desperately need to pop off that heal.

Re: The "other game thread"
It's a lot more responsive now. There's no 'cutscene' tagged to it your characters just simultaneously go through a 1 second flash effect and you're on your way. I won't admit to be good at the system but I find it interested nonetheless.

I rather enjoy the Paradigm system. It's a nice change and it gives me something fast-paced to strategize with. The old battle-system is nice too ofc! I like both.

Re: The "other game thread"
Probably my view on it too Morinth. I suck at most of the systems that are time based. I like to take my time with turn based and think about what I'm going to do and react easier. I still love this battle system I'm just not as good at it.

Yeah I tried Last Hope or whatever it was called when it came out on the 360. Didn't get too far into it.

Re: The "other game thread"
I loved the battle system in
Plus instead of previous breath of fire games when you get your dragonpowers and can do whipadoodee whatever whenever with it, in this one you had a bar from the get go of recieving your powers which always increased as the game went o, you'd burn the bar up more whenever you turned into a dragon and used dragon based attacks, that bar ever going to 100% would kill you.

That game was hilarious. xD I used to get so mad, cause the gauge would rise when I was running, forcing me to take it easy. No game-rush for me!

Isn't that the SO game that has that one very over powered attack you get quite early? Sidekick or something. That you can basicly be lame and spam through the whole game and be unbeatable with. xDLedgic Caan wrote:
