Re: Future wish List for Wow
I seem to be having increasingly more fun with every expansion. I like how casual the gameplay has become, it makes focusing on RP a whole lot easier

Re: Future wish List for Wow
TBC was original, is the main thing. The outlands were so different and each unique in their own way. And blood elves were what got me into WoW, in all honesty, even if blizz ruined them late TBC
I liked Wrath because of Storm Peaks, Fjord, and Vrykul.
Cata... I bought for flying mounts.
Not buying MoP.

I don't like Outland. The different zones in it are not linked in any way, even for an alien world, that's not how an environment should progress. Northrend is my favorite continent by far, the art direction is steady but manages to keep a lot of diversity and lushness. I liked cataclysm mainly for the new race/class combinations, and the remaking of the new world. Questing to level 60 can now actually be a fun and engaging experience.

Re: Future wish List for Wow
I said this sometime before summer as well, but I'll repeat it seeing how it's actually related: WoW has lost its prestige and is thus losing people. There's nothing more natural than that really. It's almost 6 years old and that's a damn long time for a MMO.
Sure, casual players are a lot happier now, since it takes only a small amount of time to achieve what used to take quite a while a few years back. From leveling to obtaining pretty much anything, PvP or PvE wise, the game offers barely any challenge nowadays. At the same time that certain value of anything achieved/obtained has decreased as well. Epic mounts for example used to be something really special back in the days.
Sure, new players join every day but they're not likely to stick around for long, since they will manage to reach whatever goal they set rather fast. Not to forget the repetition of the content that inevitably occurs after all this time. Today's content through the eyes of most vanilla players, from the world itself to the various items available, is nothing but recycled concepts used over and over again under a different label/texture.
The RPers have to put up with lore adjustments on top of everything else, which happen for the convenience of the developers and the changes of the content to appease to the masses, more than making any sense or being consistent in themselves.
I personally would have quit a while ago if it wasn't for the people I interact with. I know many people who are playing the game just for that reason. But to be quite frank, even that is growing to be a thin argument, since new games can easily 'ninja' an entire bunch of people, so they manage to take with them that social aspect they so enjoy, without having to put up with anything of the above.

Re: Future wish List for Wow
Just craving somthing new that is all. Love wow and all the friends i've made. If a wow 2 came out with a whole new overhall then I would be on that for another 6 years XD . But I will stay till somthing major takes me away which i'm sure will apply to alot of people. Mostly so I will go where most of my friends go.

... I'd get by being the only person. I remember when my pirate had her problem with multiple personalities... Glorious! I could RP with myself and have fun.

I saw someone who had done a two hour stretch of solid RP on their own.

I was RPing alone in Ratchet, and I confused a passing shaman so much as he watched that he immediately offered any assistance he could to fix the problem. x)

I never RP alone. Without an audience, the RP doesn't exist xD

Re: Future wish List for Wow
I know this undead friend of mine, who I imagine wouldn't have any trouble RPing alone for hours...
I'm also one of those folks who would've stopped WoWin most likely quite some time ago, if it wouldn't be for the community. Right now I see myself continuing unless I ran out of money/everyone else stops/something terribad happens...or untill Diablo 3 gets released. Then it's definetly a time for a break from WoW...to play another Blizzard game!

Unintentional or intentional hilarity?
In either case my tophat is off, good sir.

Re: Future wish List for Wow
... Fast travel. game complete in two hours. CONGRATULATIONS.
But I'm one of those people who will play for hours, and hours, every side quest, exploring everything... Then realise two weeks later that I'm still holding the Amulet of Kings and haven't given it to Jauffre yet. :>
