As long as it won't reach MMO Champion levels, it's ghooood. Most of the bitchin' and whinin' over there causes your head to explode. I'm currently trying really hard to not quote any of that "vanilla was the bestest thing ever" crap, because it's sometimes amusing to read. Sometimes.

As for my wish list? Well...I'd really like more lively Inns/Taverns being set around the world, like for RP scenes where you have travelled on foot with your guildies and decide to rest for the night in a cozy tavern. More lively world, in general. Cataclysm improved that a little by adding battling NPCs to certain zones at Kalimdor/Eastern Kingdoms, but I'd still like to see more.

I wonder if LoTR has any of that stuff...

Oh the endless vulgarities spam that would follow this...

Hasn't ruined any game where it exists.

If it gets too heavy, then /ignore fixes it simply.

It already doesn't stop people from spamming L O L all the time, among other things.

You might be enjoying pressing the report button repeatedly or having your ignore list full, but I surely don't xD Even less so in W-PvP, arena or RBG when the spam can exceed 3 chat pages within 10 secs (I have screenies of such cases) thanks to macros and because of the nerdrage. The emote spam is already enough as it is and cross-faction communication can easily be and is achieved with other means.

If people don't believe the game is balanced.. They should've seen what it was like when Warlocks and Paladins reigned supreme in TBC. The game is probably the most balance it's ever been. If you've got decent enough gear, you kick ass. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?

Also I would love to see a new model for the Draenei male, one without a funny walk. Perhaps an option to make my model skinnier. :>

The game isn't balanced. Being better then back in vanilla and shit, doesn't make it balanced.

The only thing that is truly balanced, is the cosmos in its entirety, young grashopper.

Two years later, regarding the monk.
"You were the panda class, you were supposed to further destroy the balance, not fix it... Become a wrath-release death knight, not a 4.3 one!"
"I love you to bro."
"You were everything I was supposed to dislike, I hated you!"

An expansion based on the same kind of lore as Ulduar has. I love the artwork and story behind that place.

Better cape designs.

The ability to customize characters even more, height, muscles, hair and all that.

More emotes that have effects.

Raids where you're able to see the entire bosses instead of just their feet.

Being able to use the models that quiver bags gave you through the interface, not needing to have an actual item in order to do it.

Azeroth Wars: Revenge of the Panda, hurr hurr. >.>

Vanilla's gameplay was crap. Balance was something that wasn't even attempted. The lore was simplistic and you interacted with it in a simple way. PvE was elitist but also clumsy, experimental, and manic. PvP was ludicrously personal. Grinding for your Field Marshal title you met the same people over and over again. It was a rare AV you didn't recognise the majority of allies and enemies, grudges and friendships developed organically over time.

The game was crap. But it had charm. Wink

More on topic I'd have loved (would love) to have seen Southshore/Tarren Mill turned into a Wintergrasp style world PvP zone rather than over-run outright. A PvP zone without any vehicles or gimmicky new mechanics.

I want......

Consistent, complete and solid lore. Released in-game (Codex!) and published in book-form which is CANON for lore-freaks like me.

Something i dream but i am pretty sure will never happend, and im quite sure its the dream of many other roleplayers
I would like the possibility to create ingame visual objects that last until canceled, for example you could create a market stall and rp a shop, set up a military camp by creating a lot of tents or create a door to all those open doorways where there "icly" are a door.

There would ofc be some restrictions:
-Would not limit movement, you could just walk trough them
-Would vanish if creator logs or walks out of targeting range
-Options to limit the visibility. Could disable entirely, seeing only creations of raid group, certain guilds that you have enabled, and option to ignore individuals (much like ignore button works on speech)

(All on roleplay servers)

Roleplay character creation on roleplay servers. So everyone is 85, all creeps are 85, all quests are level 85. You pick from a handful of traits for your character and assign stat points. Pick from a wide selection of Warcraft classes and design their "look" by picking through a database of item and armor models. Colour them to your fancy and then be able to write a profile for your character similar to TRP or MRP.

Linked with this a roleplay combat system (turned based) where you can openly attack any player but stats and traits chosen in character customisation comes into play. Ofcourse guards will respond to crimes such as thievery or violdence locking you up in NPC prison for a set duration of time. Once your character is dead/wounded they don't "respawn" unless are taken to a healer or doctor.

Player/Guild housing with customisation. Player rulers! Elected, nominated, votes, councils, rebels, civil war, taxes, macro management and all that good stuff that comes with it. Assign a Lord or Lady over a certain area or county.

On these roleplay exclusive servers, no such thing as flying mounts, dungeon ques, fast travel, teleports/portals and anything not IC. Get the players on the ground and in the world. Flight masters could still be included for a hefty fee probably.

Some smaller features, an in-game lore codex like in Warhammer Online, ignore will make the person invisable to you and GM'S that uphold and -even- sometimes participate in roleplay!

Nothing phased, nothing instanced, no battlegrounds, no raids or dungeons nothing but roleplay on roleplay servers.

Put the roleplay back in this roleplaying game!

You might want to look into playing on a private server. It can provide most of which you desire. Safe for the community of course but with enough devotion you can make that happen, too.
