The Famine Plot! Updated: 8th December. New famine status!

Citizens might worry about the backstep up north, and having thoughts of taxes rising on food and alike? Therefor beeing careful buying alot of non basic goods. Making it hard for the middle class, not able to earn the money they need for the food aswell, also beeing careful about buying non basics. And now we got economic crisis all over stormwind;D!

Well.. Whenever I do RP around with JP I try to make him careful with his coin, inquisitive on the situation with "the people", asking question about the rising food prices... and.. uhm... Well.. he's not suffering from the hunger yet.

But... I do feel this event could use a bit more hands-on, solid action.

Perhaps I could aid with a sermon, serving to promote a calm and sharing mindset for the better of all? A sermon... that might just end up in chaos and shouting. Hm. Well, anyways. Just tossing in an idea.

Hell yes you should JP! I got a propagandamachine on the way aswell to spread the light in these dark times (and direct the blame elsewere).

I just wanted to apologise for not updating this. I've been in a slump of absolutely not wanting to play any wow at all for the past two weeks. If there's still interest I intend to gather my berings and then update the current famine status... perhaps even stepping it up.

Well....the faction for the revolution is kinda fading due of fawn busy with irl stuff. I dont know if someone takes over thought. But would not think there is really no relief to this yet.

I was thinking for this thouht i would need some assistance... could we set up some kind of Plague to sweep the streets? It may stimulate the event and could affect everyone. Will give the healers some work too to try and find a cure. We could maybe seal off an area of the city and quarenteen it to give the guards work at some point too.

What do you all think?

I caught a bit of this program on Tuesday, There was a part all about the potato famine that was really sad but it maybe give us all some idea of what a famine does and help us RP it better.

Having been in three plagueplots now, I think I can safely say that they tend to generate lots of verbal support but lukewarm participation. Unlike a famine or a political crisis, being affected tend to be rather fatal/crippling and make you depend on other characters for rp (the sickbed problem, also see prison). So while logically anyone could be affected, in praxis very few will be.

I intend to kick the famine up a notch and see what I can do about starting a weekly market. As always I ask every interested person to do whatever they think can generate more interest. It need not be big things, small things are probably even better.
Like gathering a friend to hunt Stormwind for stray cats to eat. Rp for the evening.

Or Rats! Plenty of rats in SW after all.

Oof, I realise I haven't been supporting this enough. I'll make an event, try to get more people involved. The problem, I think, is that the famine plot runs close to christmas, so there will be some christmas events that are made. I know there are in the regiment anyway. However, I feel this may add a nice feel to the "winter's veil" aspect, giving off a Tiny tim, only one piece of chicken for winter's veil vibe. Which'll be quite nice!
