The Circle of the Ebon Shroud are a RP guild looking for RPers for a lawful/dark Knight concept. Death Knights are tragic characters and as such we look for darker themes for our RP such as loss, deep character flaws and a struggle to overcome what the scourge have done to them. To be a Death Knight is not an easy thing, you were murdered, became an absolute slave to the Lich King, a Scourge weapon of war. You must harm others or the hunger will overcome you, you must take the souls of others, an act of absolute evil, denying the after-life to those you feast on. This is the evil of the Scourge.

The endless hunger will soon take hold of you, death knight. When it does, you will feel pain immeasurable. There is only one remedy for the suffering: the hunger must be sated. :Instructor Razuvious

As a guild we help each other to RP DKs deeper than they have sometimes been RPed before, taking into account their hunger and need for war but we are looking to RP beyond this too. We follow the Lore Blizzard have given us as closely as possible and are always discussing things in the guild. We can help those new to DK RP to learn the lore and the limitations and weaknesses of the class.

There will be no atonement for us, we are forever damned to walk the earth as monsters. While the Lich King may have loosed his grip upon us, the specters of the past will forever haunt our memories. We must make amends in the only way we know how: Death...I ask you now to join me in Acherus as a Knight of the Ebon Blade. So what do we do… Well we are an RP guild so expect lots of RP. We will go to where the war is, currently it is in Hillsbrad but we have been drawn to all of Azeroth with our RP. We take part in RP W PvP too, from small guild skirmishes to mass wars and crusades filled with many guilds. We also RP with a Scourge Guild and a Scarlet crusade guild on the alliance side (mostly it ends in a fight but we can also help new players to use emotes and roll systems.) We also have plenty of allies and enemies in Stormwind but do not expect to RP there a lot, mostly as a DK you will be away from the city unless we have reason to be there. OOC we ask for enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, that you are polite and friendly to the guild and to others we RP with and you have a positive attitude. Always rembember IC=/=OOC at all times and all problems can be quickly solved with a quick /w.

(An oral report from an alliance Sergent)

...It was beyond hope, the forsaken closed in from all sides. My command was over, my troops are either dead, routed or standing with me under our standard, awaiting death. We knew what death meant too you understand captain, there bravery was as foolish as it was a credit to there charactar. Suddenly portals opened! Soldiers in Black garb and black hoods entered the battle, hey wore a blue tabard with a black hooded face on it. When they charged the rear of the forsaken lines it became clear what they were. There weapons and magic were as dark as there uniforms, shadow bolts striking out, fallen warriors returned to there feet and struck at the enemy. The very swords the troops carried were enfused with some kind of evil power. There shock tactics were affective howevere eyes under his hood. He said nothing but nodded to himself and left through a new portal. There was no doubt I witnessed foul magic and heretic troops, but there is no denying they saved us that day...

We are not sure what these troops are or who they serve. Clearly they fight for the alliance yet there methods are evil and illegal. There may be a link to the Ebon Hold, there armour there hoods and masks, there very weapons are black. It is a frightening method of war, based on shadow and necromancy that they take to the enemy who ever they would be. No one knows who they are or why they serve an alliance that would hang them if they were caught.

The Ebon Watch are a collection of Magi, warriors and scouts that serve the Ebon Shroud. They may serve as they owe there lives to the Shroud, for safety from the law due to their magic or maybe just for gold. We take all races and all classes but we must stress that you are secret about this IC. The nature of the unit will be illegal and we insist that people face IC consquences if you are captured by alliance troops. The Watchers will also need to have Jobs and lives when they are not called up (think of superman if he was a necromancer).

The kind of thing we are looking for are :-

Magi-Shadow magi/shadow priests, necromancers, blood mages or arcane magi.
Infantry-Unhappy warriors, criminals needing safety, Argents who wish to fight the Horde, those who do not fit into society or those who you feel would have a good IC reason for joining for another reason.

We do not take Fel users and are ok with Paladins/lightdogs provided you can think of a good IC reason they would be there (they will be getting there hands dirty)

If you want to Join /w Lexgad or Athabascael or IC approach an Ebon Shroud Knight.

Events!

Currently between the Acherus and Alterac, preparing for war! Hopefully in time the north will become a regular W PvP area and there will be bags of RP!

In the near future I am going to set up a cultish/political/terrorist group in SW who will be working for the Shrouds goals but in secret. Will not say much more at this time :p

Plot Lines

Even if you've gone and stolen the woman on my arm to your guild, I wish you all the very best! Might find room to chuck a DK in there myself sometime if the fancy takes me.

Though I no longer have a DK, I support this guild fully! Back when I had my DK, I'd been searching for a guild he'd fit into, for the entirety of his existance actually. Ended up deleting him at level 80.

Well re roll, or once we are up and running we will ask the court of the three lords to discuss fourth generation DKs (provided it passes the vote, politics! XD)

Drustai is many things.. and has many names.. but most of all she is and should be called a heretic, one that deserves the pyres!

Contemplating if I should get my DK involved.. I am just not sure I would commit to him and don't want to make you happy with a dead bird, as they say.
