Yeah, the official forums came back about an hour ago. Their Twitter feed is probably the best place to grab the official line although there's a sprinkling of Dev responses on the forums.

It's pretty much just a case of them reaffirming that they've got Top Men working on the issue.

The forums came back, and they're starting to struggle again. It takes 3-4 clicks to get past the 502s.

Seriously, they've said they'd protect RPers from harrassment. They just felt like they shouldn't have to segment RPers AWAY from the rest of the servers.
So, in a sense ALL servers are RPservers. And a quite decently sized RP community have desided to take Petrified Forest as a home.

I tried out PvP. After spending about ten minutes going over my new set of spells, I can safely say it's the most enjoyable PvP I've played in any game for a long time.
Loving the Mesmer so far.

Only really missing a /say next to the /local.
It's hard to spit out commands and yell for a charge if you only have local.

Also need to learn to keep swapping between the weapons, I'm pretty sure cooldown on one weaponset continue to go down when you have the other equiped.

The only reason I play wow these days is for rp, my friends and a little pvp. Rp is an important aspect for me in any game. However, muz has said about petrified forest, so I'll be looking into that.

They're aiming for one Beta Event a month, and I do believe you keep your characters throughout them. They won't be transferred onto Live, though, of course.

This is true. I spent a good half hour walking around and exploring that City. Can't wait to get to Lion's Arch. Though I presume that'll be a while, as I have no idea where it is, or much about it, save it's a Human City. Unsure if it's on par with the scale of Divinity's Reach, however.
