Do the Sylvari!

Sylvari Tenets:

1: That big red button, you are the most likely race to push it. Don't be afraid to ask questions, especially embarressing ones!
2: Follow the ten *crashing sound* I mean five commandments.
3: Gender roles are for fleshling.
4: So is being straight, gay, bi etc.
5: Your mother is so big, she's a city tree.
6: Fight the dragons, all the time, that is your dream, that is your destiny!

TL;DR: Act like an Arthurian Knight made out of plant fibres, then you're set.

Note: Before Sylvari are born, they already dream. There they learn their destiny and knowledge. That knowledge is "randomly assigned" from the collective knowledge of the Sylvari people. That's why they are curious, new things are added to the dream.

1: Ask questions about everything new to you. EVERYTHING!
2: Wonder why people become angry over different views.
3: Follow the teachings of the white tree, or throw them fully out the window!
4: Question gender segregation, why should it matter.
5: Make sure you don't get insect larve in your foiliage.
6: Drink water.

Asura Manual:

1: Insult everyone, any way, all the time.
2: Corporate espionage isn't a lifestyle, it's Asuran.
3: The bigger they are, the stupider they are.
4: Your government is filled with the ones that didn't manage to flee quickly enough from the elections (Arcane Council). The Krewes are the important things (pretty much research guilds).
5: Family is good to have, unless they are useless in the lab, then you have them study somewhere else.


Edit: That reminds me, the Norn thinks the Human queen is a pussy since she doesn't fight herself.

The people who made Guild wars are already up on my list too blizzard. They had the balls to answer LGBT questions, ..they don't even need to make a big deal out of it!

And that the humans themselves are kind of weird for having her ontop!

I haven't read up much on them, but it's relieving to not be getting a typical nelf/welf forest race. (IE oversexed females, absurdly bulky males ((only for nelves)) )

But Norn are still my fav.
Vikings done properly (ie playable and not a weak mob race)

Tbh... they aren't really Vikings. They don't have longships or a bad ass traders tradition.
Bad ass traders tradition that in if you piss them off with bad deals they'll sail away, change head on their ship, and come back and BURN YOUR CITY TO THE GROUND! And take over your country in the process.

Norn are still fucking badass! I'll just be annoyed at people who don't read up on names and have unnorn like (aka, non oldnordic based) surnames.

Gotta say. I love the fact that you don't have any stupid naming restrictions. As in "You have to have two names" or "You can't have a space in the name"

And they are Viking in that they're based on old Norse stuff. They're just a tad nicer to their neighbours. So far...

We should get some norn group together of Defias players.

Me and some of my friends are already ahead of you, as we're already planning our characters and what we'll do when the game comes out, which will be RP'ing while leveling and not leveling.
The main idea is that we're a group of adventurers ( or atleast something along those lines. ) We're even considering making an own guild, so we can claim bases and other things.

Bottomline... ICANTWATIOMFGWHYISTHEGAMENOTOUTYET?! 8D

Because Anet will want to release an AWESOME GAME! Not a... "we release now but it won't be done yet" game.

...Though on the last video, the player charecter is stupidly dressed. Fighting a war in lolita.

In the G-Star demo for GW2 I've today seen (through Youtube)
Mobs that kite people with Melee Weapons.
Mobs that dodge player attacks.
And mobs that change weapons from Melee to Ranged after a knockback attack it's mob friend used.

Anyone remember if there were any raptor ish mobs in Guild Wars?

If there are, they will be able to open doors, that is for sure.
And quite likely operate turrets.

SYLVARI GUILD KAY KAY?

Sylvari look to be the upcoming most popular I SO PRETTY, WE SEX NAO race. The Guild Wars equivalent of blood elves. Only less awesome.

Those little guys look cute. What are they called? I saw a video of one rolling about laughing and it reminded me of Teemo from LoL. So cute.

I dunno about them being " sexual ", but the Sylvari definitely seem to be the far cooler then any silly blood elves.





And the little guys are called Asura.

You're right, blood elves look better. xD They're not flammable either.

I'm tempted to try this. Most likely as one of them silly little Asura beings. Or a cat person. Charr are they? XD

GW2 is looking up to be epic and awesome.
With far more involved combat than any other MMORPG I am aware of. You should check it out!
As for RP, there is solid and intresting Lore. And all skills can be used untargeted. So "Emotefighting" will actually have visuals!

Ad to that no subscription fee, and no eternal gear grind if you want to be competetive in PvP or progress PvEwise...
