There was one dk and a lot of dwarf hunters passed my view over time.
I remember one dwarf hunder making a second dwarf hunter hit me. And poor poor Sadok.

Yeah. I just don't remember if that other hunter was around when the prison escape happened.

Re: Path of Conquest: Chapter II [Concluded]
I consider tonight to be a personal failure. I was probably naive in thinking that we all could be adults about this and treat each other with sportsmanship and respect despite the competition that has erupted. That, however, seems to be impossible. A lot of rules were broken on both sides, and communication was definitely not great either. Adding this with personal grudges of some players, I just get an urge to say 'fuck it, I'm not doing anything anymore for people who don't appreciate it' but don't fret, I won't give in to that urge. Tonight taught me a harsh lesson - simplicity is key in events of this scale. Large crowds let the worst of people come out, as is often proved in the light of football matches - where fans lead each other into a frenzy and show their darkest side.
To show my good intentions, I am willing to acknowledge the victory of the Alliance tonight, although I personally would prefer it to be a draw, just because it was too big a fuck up say anything good about either side.
-----
On a side note - I want to remind people to role-play with care. I have heard of some predicament yesterday in which some people tried to hijack a plot that was being played out. Let me stress that communication is important always, and that it is considered to be poor etiquette to try and force people into a situation. Abducting people when they are not even online to begin with, I therefor also consider poor etiquette. You simply have no right to barge in and claim a plot without consent.

Your gonna have ups and downs in every plot. I think you should be pretty content in the fact that most battles have been both fun and engageing.

... hijack?
It was brought up IC, and then we discussed in raid that we'd ask you/Mazz whether or not it could be done OOCly before doing anything with it. We weren't going to do it without consent, so I don't see why it can be called hijacking?
I was adamant that we not do anything without talking to both you and Mazz about it first, and definitely not without her there.

Well, I'm sorry if people got the impression that it was an attempt at hijacking the plot. I for one was against doing it without OOC consent, as I said.

Re: Path of Conquest: Chapter II [Concluded]
Hmm...
The part with the groups was enormously confusing. My group wandered about, wondering if we were in the right place. We got a confirmation of that only upon the charge of our opponents. I believe it was much to communicate and coordinate. Perhaps planning such with predefined leaders (say, 3 on each side and those leaders already paired up against eachother) might help, even more if they have communication opened between them. I fear my group had a stronger setup than our counterpart, but it was hard to discuss that properly.
I do think it deserves a lot of merit that something different was tried. Trying something new that also has greater complexity is bound to give some headaches at the start. But it needs to be tried.
The large battle.. I don't know what happened there but I say it was a lot of crap on too small a stick. I don't think people knew what to do at some point anymore.

It was a bit odd escaping the prison just to get caught up in another battle on the high road.

I like to think that was understood from the get go.. No-one Alliance side suggested doing anything until we'd talked to Mazz (and some tried to reach her as well at the time).

I didn't mind until the alliance flew in, flew up to the tops of the cliffs where we couldn't reach, started ressing after death and then when they finally won they killed us all when we tried to res and pull back. Which was the SC I posted earlier.

Probably a innocent mistake like Horde charging to soon at Theramore.

Oh, aye. It's all a big conspiracy. Jeez.
Parts of this campaign has been really enjoyable, however. And I feel like this goes for both sides. That's a nice thing, at the very least.

While I have been unable to attend any of these events so far (Why do these always take place when I am inactive? ) any event that promotes some more w-pvp is good in my books. Having been among the w-pvp crowd since the early DB times (I miss the times of "The Alliance Watch" dropping their Molten Core raids because Horde was attacking Stormwind, the epic fighting/sieges in Menethil, the old Southshore/Tarren Mill war (damn you cata plotnukes) the city raids (still dreading the sylvanas throneroom because of vanilla and that evil dreadlord) etc etc). Heck even the w-pvp in Northend at the end of Wotlk was good. Grizzly hills battles, a siege of Valiance keep. Those had their issues too, but were slowly working themselves out.
I would love to slowly see a return to the good old w-pvp times sparked by these.
You shouldn't allow yourself to be convinced that all this effort you are putting into these is not worth it because execution sometimes gets messy. Remember the 1st rule in warfare, things never go according to plan.
Worst case scenario you base your more complicated missions with people you know can kep discipline and play their part well, while toss the bloodthirsty squad in a generic "bash your heads till one quits" battle.
And who knows, one day we may be able to pull such a fight with rp gear sets only.

Re: Path of Conquest: Chapter II [Concluded]
For the High Road fights, flying mounts were used to get the group back to where they were supposed to be as they had run off, any vantage points were reachable by foot and the battle ressing I'm sure was in response to the fact that one horde healer there was constantly battle-ressing (yes I know who.) Once one person does things snowball very quickly.
As for yesterday as a whole I think it came down to having two much on our plates and trying to over-complicate things. The idea was good but it was too much to manage. I assume things will be simpler from now on
