Depends on the length of the beard. A nicely trimmed one does indeed provoke the reaction you mention, too long however, and the girl will think you're a communist, a paedophile or a Johannes Brahms-wannabe.

See the problem is, Mandui, my hair isn't curly. It's wavy/frizzy/dry. I live in a rural area and we get all of our water from a well. So it's all saturated with minerals and stuff which absolutely demolishes our (my mom and I) hair. (also, never drink from the tap here. It's fucking disgusting)

I'd have to spend just as much time curling my hair as straightening it, and I've never been much of a fan of curls really.

I admit, water is mighty important. My hair never looked worse than it did while I was studying in Germany. When I say bad, I mean frizzy like hell, although even then I countered that with anti-frizz stuff. I come back here, start using the water from the tap, which is coming straight from a spring up in the mountain, and...



The pic is taken after the hair was washed and let to dry, no hairdryer, no styling products, no nothing (no, I won't show the face from that one, I look utterly stoned). Another major factor is your psychological state. I never had greasy hair until I went through the emotionally toughest time of my life. My hair would become greasy within hours after being washed. That went away when that phase was over. And one last thing is washing your hair too often. That's a killer, especially when the water sucks balls. Also, short hair rules xD

But, mneh, straight, curly, it all depends on the girl wearing it, so can't really say what's best!

That's not the pretty curls mine gets. Mine is just a mass of FLUFF. xD It's awful. I get so much static in my hair too! And I have a tendency to blow up the lights when I flip the light switch, fusing the whole of my house. I'd rather not have to straighten it, it hurts my arms and takes ages.

And yes Ave! Make-up is icky.

I use anti-frizz stuff, but it still doesn't help too much. But I've only been using it for like 2 months or so.

I don't wash my hair that often (30 minutes straightening kills any desire for daily showers <.<), so no problems there.
