I've heard from friends, who had the distinct pleasure of having only 1 bathroom and a kid sister, of the terrible territorial pissings that come with it. Those friends and their kid sisters develop a talent for impressively long morning routines in the bathroom, with a duration that increases with every shout of displeasure from the other party.

My solution would be breaking down the door. I'm sorry, ladies, but basic hygienic need of the bathroom takes priority over luxurious cosmetics. You wouldn't want to be forced to hold it up while a man takes a royal amount of time trimming and tending his beard, right?

But pissing on the floor is hardly something I'd applaud or find as a suitable solution.
*shrug* If you have only one bathroom, then the word you're looking for is "share". My wife and I have only 1 bathroom in our apartment ... we never have this problem.

JP, the difference is tha siblings do not -want- someone to brush their teeth/use the toilet when they shower. Since siblings are bad at sharing.

My brothers never thought twice about coming and having a piss if you were in the shower at the time. Not that they pissed in the shower when you were showering, but used the toilet. We might be from Yorkshire, but we're not animals.

I never had that issue really, namely 'cause #1: I never take longer than 10-15 mins in the bathroom (unless I'm having a bubble bath, which can take up to an hour, but people are free to come in if they want, not that they'll see anything under all that foam) and #2: I've always lived at houses with two bathrooms, bar the time I was studying (gotta love rl rng sometimes...).

I can still imagine it becoming annoying though. Problem is most females use the bathroom for their entire beautifying process, whereas it should only be used for shower. The rest you can easily do elsewhere and avoid having family members crap in flower pots and whatnot xD

I have this thing where like I have to be sure NOBODY is in the house or is awake when I use the bathroom and I even had an extra lock installed too just to be on the safe side. I can't imagine using taking a shower while somebody's doing number 1 in there at the same time wtf ew no!!!

We could just not shave our legs or do our hair or any of that stuff if you want? How selfish of us to spend time looking good for other people.

You could just, you know, go outside. You do have the capability of doing it upright, you know, and it's not like men have ever been averse to that.

Oh, I know. My tongue was placed firmly in my cheek when I wrote that post. The time spent in the bathroom by the average woman is completely necessary, yup.

We have two toiletrooms, one of them being a propper bathroom with a shower (It used to have a bathtub until my parents redid it) and then we have a second shower in the laundryroom that's been there for ages.

It's huge. My house is considered big by UK standards with 5 decent sized bedrooms. All sharing the one bathroom upstairs. >.> It's small compared with this. You lose weight just by running up his stairs. XD
