Unfortunately, non-Hodgkin is a killer and people with it can only be given life-prolonging treatment. People rarely survive it since it can be extremely aggressive and is one of the least known about.

What I mean is you can live with it depending on the type, but it will always be there or reappear again. He obviously had quite an aggressive form.

The aggressive forms are, ironically enough, generally better treatable. The chemotherapies are designed to kill fast-growing (aggressive) cancers, the slower ones are way harder to treat. And I know people who are completely cured of non-hodgkin. I was cured of hodgkin myself and worked as a volunteer for the patient-organisation for years, so hence I happen to know this Wink
