Oooh, Susan Kay's book is pretty good. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

My twin brought me Book 1 over Easter weekend. She'd whack me with a rolled up newspaper and make me put it down. D:
Awesome stuff. Looking forward to getting Book 2!
Kudos to Shro for reading some of it to me over Skype and getting me intrigued in more of Gaiman's work.

From the Dust Returned by Ray Bradbury... Gothic awesomeness! Anyone who likes words would like this one, really.
Next up, The Children of Hurin, one of the newly released/edited Tolkien books. I'm looking forward to it, as the story in the Silmarillion was pretty much my favourite, but also a little scared that I might not like this version as much - anyone out there read it?

Found my old copy of The Catcher in the Rhy whilst tidying out the cesspit that was the wee cupboard under my bed, so I started reading that again.
Currently alternating between that and some old skool Ian Rankin books.

Can only recomend the sci-fi bits. Grey Knights series, Ciaphas Cain`s Series, Gaunt`s Ghosts, Horus Heresy series kick ass , also the Ultramarines series are good with cpt. Ventris. As for fantasy stuff, no clue.

Read Rise of the Lich King last night. Was a pretty good read, if not somewhat short.

Re: What are you reading?
Just finished "Guards! Guards!" and "Men at Arms" after being loaned them by a lady. I had this "thing" against Pratchett for some obscure reason. I think I tried to read some at school, and convinced myself I didn't like them. I was wrong (or right at the time, but wrong now!). I'm enjoying discovering Pratchett as an old man *cough*.
Currently:
(re)reading Riddley Walker (it's a book that makes me think and imagine). It is amazing, if sometimes perplexing linguistically.
And reading The Herbalist (it's a book about Nicholas Culpepper).

Re: What are you reading?
I've just finished a couple of Hardy novels and most recently, "Ninety-Eighty-Four" by George Orwell - a fantastic book, although definitely not one of my favorites. And now I've started reading "The Scarlet Letter" by Nathaniel Hawthorne which I'm really enjoying a lot not. I sincerely recommend that book for people who enjoy reading books set in the Puritans' time (I started loving the whole "Puritan" vibe after The Village and The Crucible - heh).

Currently reading Labyrinth by Kate Mosse (no, not the David Bowie version). It's actually much more interesting than I anticipated! I also checked out Dan Brown's latest novel from the library (the title escapes me), and Ben-Hur, the classic, too.
