They'd probably notice him when he flies all over the place roaring though. :3

I imagine the big flaming trail he leaves will be noticed for miles plus I am sure he can be heard in quite the distance and those looking to Stormwind from far off points would notice a red glow!

Considering my Character is in Ashenvale when it happens, awake and searching for a missing friend... Even if she would be asleep I highly doubt a Volcaon errupting close by wouldn't wake her up and have her flee for her life.
That reply from blizzard is just a lazy and bad thought through thing to show that they didn't think about a propper timeline.

Also, in the Cinematic. It's daytime. Dusk when he reaches stormwind.

Hmm.. Gotta say pre-WOTLK event was more awesome than this one was (even though sometimes annoying).

I Rp'd as much defence as would logically possible before Jayse was simply too exhausted to continue and I got bored of doing it every 1.5 - 2 hours.

As for the cataclysm itself. I'm just going to take it as it comes *shrugs* Not going to rack my brain too much over it.

There are things which were in progress quest wise but were never added to the world until now, there has been rp which was fitting into such world changes, ect...

It all suddenly becomes apparent, ok, but it was already being worked on before nonetheless. I am continuing as I always have. ^^

As for the shattering itself, well, that's, the big even which comes as a bang now, and I think the only thing we should worry about is how our characters will react to it now and recuperate from it. So RTRP remains.
