I just discovered the timetable I'll have in the 1st semester.. I'll be at the university for just 16 hours a week. That's during week 37, to be precise. Some weeks will be different. It's probably less than half of what I had at school this year. University rocks!*

My weekends will start on Thursdays and after week 42 I also won't have anything on Wednesdays!

*The bureaucracy does not.

until you find out that 4 entire chapters are being discussed in just one hour and you're expected to fully grasp its meaning the next week for the next four chapters

Sounds like how this semester started for me. Now I'm leaving my home at 7:00 and come back at 19:15.

Chemistry. Free project I started a year ago since I had time, got me some money and 30 European Credits and now is turning into my internship project.
So what I do and what I'm actualy using can be shown with this picture.

Chemistry.. I'd never be able to do that.. Exact sciences are not my thing. I did follow chemistry at school though.. For the explosions. Needless to say, I was disappointed at the lack of explosions.

You'd be surprised how often the "exact science" comes down to experimenting because the standard instructions don't work.

Also, there are only explosions if people are bored. Or playing with the bunsen burner to make more glass stirring sticks.

If it wasn't for the project, I would have been making different kinds of glowsticks this last half year.

True, true. Still, most of it is "counting molecules and atoms" as a friend of mine once put it. Practical things were really more the exception than the rule during our classes.

Yup. Though I've had an explosion a few years ago by adding a substance to a mixture way too quickly. That was fun, even though it was not a huge explosion.

but it did teach me to clean silverware and the like like a fucking pro.

but at the end of the day unless you have chemist women that analyse the stuff you make most of your time is going to be spend watching graphs and determining if that peak is supposed to be oxygen or nitrogen... or something else

My chemistry teacher in highschool was a pyromaniac.. I remember when he ignited his desk (and almost himself) in a big blaze...

Admitted that one time was an accident, he wanted to show the devastating effects of glue or paint (can't remember) gasses in combination with open fire.. (Atleast he got the message across)

Also the explosive properties of coffee creamer powder, a lesson I remembered well

But well, chemistry is boring when it's not used to burn, detonate or devastate things

Chemistry is only interesting when you read about people who've invented something interesting or useful.

One of our chem teachers was always shouting at the class for being pussies. "YOU'RE IN A CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT, USE THE FLAME11!1!!1!!!"

So one of the class set the Chemistry department on fire. Good times.

I'm happy about being happy! Things are finally looking up and more hours at work means I can guarentee going on the holiday I had planned <3<3<3

She's been gone for over a month now. She made a quick exit, and well. I had no idea where she was, I'm normally the twin who likes to be left alone and do my own thing, but she didn't say goodbye so it was somewhat annoying.
