New Guild Idea - Seeking Opinions

Hello Roleplayers! For a while now, I have been pondering over starting a new RP Guild based around the guild concept of a vigilante group that, despite having no power or authority whatsoever, are persistent in their efforts to uphold the laws by any means possible (in some cases, even breaking the laws in the effort to uphold them). The basis behind this is similar to a Totalitarian-styled guild, except the fact that such a guild would obviously conflict with the actual City Guards. These members will secretly patrol the city, "apprehending" (or, more accurately, attempting to kidnap) and criminals and/or wrong-doers who they will then return to the Guild's Base (which the location I have not yet decided upon), before receiving severe punishment, then released in a destination far from the original city (for example, if breaking Stormwind Laws, released in Stranglethorn etc.).

In a way, this could also be seen as WoW's form of (partial) Unitarian Universalism - most notably, the belief of "Deeds and not creeds" - which would most certainly prevail here, as this group believes that the guards are merely public figureheads who's only purpose is to claim they'll keep the city safe (whereas these people would resort to more extreme methods of keeping the city safe); whereas they believe the Light can only be truly used to it's full capabilities if the wielder performs good deeds rather than the traditional method of three virtues. Rather than spending time to perfect oneself via being respectful, compassionate to others and persistent in your belief, these guys believe that performing good deeds is what is necessary. For example, almost all of the greatest priests and paladins used their powers in order to fight "evil" etc.

Although not well planned out, I've decided to ask the community's opinion before devoting a large amount of time on the project. Any questions are much appreciated.

Doubt it needs to be a guild. Just get a group of likeminded (IC) individuals together to go around and.. well, pull this off, also set up say.. a chat channel to discuss it - You don't see a Baker quit his job to become a vigilante for instance. It also curbs metagaming.:

To pick up on being constructive instead of hating on the idea or on you as a person:

Looks like a good idea. I just urge you to remember that hunting bad guys using bad guys means (torture, kidnapping, etc.) was somewhat attempted already by the Chapter of Holy Anethion (and please, lets not derail the threat into that).
From what I know, these guys got sacked by a lot of drama and today they're hardly any members left. Just take this into your calculations.

Starting something unlike the super traditional is thumbs up, though.

It's more or less something you have to talk over with the criminals and the guards, since they built up a small guard/criminal community

I suggest carrying out atleast one of your projects instead of piling them up on the forums only to see how many "This is a good idea!" you get. But hey, I guess some people need that.

I personally do not thing such a guild is needed. We already have a guard guild.
There is certainly area which requiere more attention than this one.

Also, as you are an idea machine (which is good, btw), I'd suggest you to help an already existing project. Because often you have very nice projects which just need more motivated persons to wrok easily. The problem is that motivated person tend to hold their own projects instead of helping those already existing...(yes I tend to do that also XD)
