Re: [A - Worgen] The Greymane Era
The Moonfang
The Moonfang are those Gilneans who see the Worgen Curse as something to be embraced and used to their advantage. They do not actively seek a cure, with many amongst its numbers seeing it as more of a blessing and some as one from Goldrinn. The Moonfang are not entirely lost to the beast within them, instead seeking to balance themselves at the very edge – Their remaining humanity serves them as well as their new found prowess for combat after all, making (in their view) a Moonfang the ultimate predator. Whilst Holy men and the blind would see their new forms as an ailment a Moonfang knows it is anything but; honing their senses, reflexes and granting them greater ability in combat than any mere human could know.
The majority of Gilnean druids are Moonfangs who take it upon themselves to lead their pack by following guidance of Goldrinn, and yet the bulk of its number consist of those who share the common view that the curse is something to be embraced; from soldier, trapper to scholar.
The Moonfang are distrusted and scorned by the remains of the Church of Gilneas and many of their countrymen with the Moonfang’s beliefs both of a cultural and religious nature going directly against those of the church; fearful that their new 'allies' would try to convert the population to follow the ways of Elune and destroy Gilnean tradition.
As an offset of their animalistic tendencies, the Moonfang have since become a pack, similar to that of Ivar Bloodfang, closing themselves off further from their countrymen making them territorial and xenophobic with regards to their new allies in the Grand Alliance (with a possible exception of the Kal’dorei). The Moonfang are still Gilnean however, it is still their home and Genn Greymane their King and as such they still answer his call and that of their country. They serve independently of the Royal Gilnean Army although it is not uncommon for a soldier to follow their beliefs as well however in contrast to the much more disciplined, rank and file sections the Moonfang act more as a militia, preferring guerrilla tactics, literally fighting with tooth and claw over traditional platemail armour and fine steel.
-----------------------------------
The Moonfang are those Gilneans who would chose to embrace their 'curse' rather than try and suppress their more animalistic tendencies - This would appear to be a popular character choice when it comes to how people will roleplay their worgen character and thus the Moonfang grouping is designed to accommodate those players. This group shall be replacing the Tal'Dorei Circle (Druids) group so that those who would prefer to roleplay a more savage, animal, pack like Worgen (See Ivar Bloodfang) have somewhere to go along with the druids also fitting nicely in as well. This is not to say that your character cannot be one of the Moonfang yet primarily be a member of another grouping (Such as the Army) of course, but this group is for those who specifically wish to make this their main character trait. Moonfang can expect events based around Kalimdor, Kal'dorei & Goldrinn in stark contrast to the more civilised, traditional, and Church of Gilneas.
The concept of the Moonfang is still being developed, especially as the Worgen-lore develops, but if nothing else here is the base concept.

Pointless post to buffer the next update onto Page 3 so people actually view it, instead of it fading away into.. well, nuthin'.

Re: [A - Worgen] The Greymane Era
Our first group-forum-roleplay thread is now up on our public forums, so whether you intend to play a worgen character, join our guild or not, you're free to take part.
Last Chance at Humanity is based around when the worgen were given a treatment that, whilst not restoring them to their human forms, returned their sane minds back to them.
The thread is found HERE.

I must be blind but has the druid section of the intro been replaced with some moonfang stuff?
ps. I left an application to the forums.

As I pointed out on the Moonfang update/new stuff, the druids were merged together with the Moonfang. For all intents and purposes they're the same thing, only providing more options to people who wished to play other classes.

Heavily updated the original post with rework groupings, better format, information and so forth. Give it a gander.

Guild is formed in-game although we won't actually begin inviting until the 7th for obvious reasons. Those who intend to race change existing characters into Worgen should whisper me between now and then for quick membership come launch day.

May well be interested in this when the time comes for me to make a Worgen. It'll be after the first 85, though. January most likely!

Bump-bump!
We're growing vastly, and tonight we shall have several events in Gilneas City.
Among them a Mass in the Cathedral and an introduction to the Moonfang.
Starting to move out from The Howling Oak. For all you unguilded worgens. ;>
