To be 100% honest, it made as much sense as "You know how sometimes sentences don't end the way you expect them to octopus?" =D Although, your accenting was perfect, admittedly. *nod*
Re: The "other game thread"
So, tried Rift! Was having some amusement... The 'rogue' class's energy regen is ridiculously fast, enabling my little Bladedancer/Riftstalker/Assassin combo to nuke everything in sight with no need for a break.
Unfortunately, my time was cut short. Had the most hilarious fun I've had in ages playing TF2 for the first time. You just get that warm fuzzy feeling inside when people shout Thanks! after spamming Medic! at you...

So... A little late to the party, primarily because I chose not to pursue those prestige inventions... I have become the eight most significant power in the world, largely on the back of mass immigration and industrialisation. I've subsumed all but Bogota of Colombia for my own needs, and earlier this year came out of a war with the U.S.A taking their one South American state from them. But I am by no means the wealthiest nation out there. Whereto, oh forum? Where shall the United States of Central America focus their interests now that they are ranked amongst the world's great powers?

For want of somewhere better to put it. I've tried Minecraft, wasn't grabbed. But this is phenomenal.

EDIT: ^ That's a lot of free time. o_o
Seems to be gathering some hype, mainly due to its story being penned by R.A. Salvatore. Certainly looks flashy, but I think I'll refrain from jumping on the hype train till there's some more gameplay footage pre-release (2012).
Pax showcase reel, 1h-ish.

A splendid idea, I can't see England and France being strong enough to...
Actually, on second thoughts, I'll leave the Caribbean alone.

Sadly, I am playing neither as Mexico, nor Colombia. The United States of Central America was Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. They split up later (obviously, hence why the U.S.C.A doesn't exist today) And Mexico actually happens to control California and half of Texas, still. The Confederated States of America survived the civil war, and the United Kingdom has been protecting Mexico from the U.S.A - their wars keep ending in status quo, and it was one such war that enabled me to beat them up in South America too.
Christ I love paradox.

I can but try. As soon as I can actually get the flippin' luxury clothes to train my guards. (I actually have enough liquor for myself, at least.)

Pft, what's the point of playing a strategy game if you don't push your boundaries? Don't be a wuss, walk it off! You are after all a Great Power, no? Showz us what you can doz! ;DHalya wrote:Nayan wrote:Carribean isles clearly

Re: The "other game thread"
With the recent patch of Victoria 2, the power of England has dimished quite a lot. While of course, France has almost returned to the good old EU3 blob they were, if they aren't challenged early on by other great powers, like Prussia and Austria in an alliance.

To be honest, I could probably fight France toe-to-toe for a while, but the U.K kinda sorta took the southwest of China, and I don't really fancy fighting their 72k doomstacks.
And sadly, no longer a great power, Italy formed and stole it, and interventionism due to a static conservative government is giving me the worst of both worlds for industrial score. I'll reclaim it eventually when I can build dreadnoughts.
And yes, France and the U.K are closer together now in potential Mika - in the current game France has 6.2 score, of which 5.1k is industrial.

Idk about you, but I thoroughly enjoyed annihilating England as France in EU3 - only to humbly release it as a vassal afterwards in an exhibition of superiority :'3
Re: The "other game thread"
I've always found annihilating France as England far more entertaining.
Or Burgundy.

Re: The "other game thread"
What I found the most statisfying is playing that little country just next to Burgundy in EU3, and -beating them- in a war, resulting in a complete loss of their lands in the following years, then keeping France at bay while expanding to the west (all them yummy little German countries), then challenge France and come out ahead at the end of the game. Fun fun times.

Re: The "other game thread"
I find playing as the German Empire is extremely satisfying, especially as I've got the entire western border covered, and working my way slowly over to take control of France and the dutch to create my "Festung Europa"
